First off, I would like to thank Gearbox for all the Easter Eggs in the game. They are a lot of fun and some of them are really funny. It is on that note, I have a suggestion for a new legendary revolver in honor of the great performance by Eli Wallach as Tuco in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. In my opinion his performance made that the greatest spaghetti western of all time.
Anyway, here is my suggestion for a new revolver to add even more fun to the game.
Name: Dastardly Tuco
Type: Legendary Jakobs
Red text: Son of a thousand parts, all Dastardly like you. (In honor to one of Tuco’s rants)
Looks: The Revolver with 8 shot drum that holds different bullet types. In terms of styling it looks hogdgepog and homemade because it is made from a thousand different parts. (This honors the revolver built by Tuco from random different parts in the gun shop scene during the The Good, the Bad and the Ugly)
Damage random between 300-2000 for example based on random bullet type selection during firing. Every round can give a different result. You never know what you are going to get.
It therefore consumes random bullet types depending damage type. (remember It is made from a thousand different parts, all Dastardly)
Each bullet type has a random elemental affix also. Again, damage and chance can vary based on bullet type.
Fire rate randomly changes after reload (1/sec to 15/sec) for no particular reason (Like Tuco’s behavior).
Reload time: 1 sec
Handling and Accuracy also random changes from 20% to 100% after reload.
Other Attributes to make it truly Tuco random:
Missed bullets have a change to ricochet back into the drum magazine for a re fire.
Will occasionally not work after first shot because of failing parts (random chance per shot - say 10%) – requires reload to fix even though it has bullets in the magazine. When the gun fails, the guns shout in the voice and tone of Tuco , “YOU DASTARD!” as he often did during his rants in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
The Revolver will then blow up in your face for 150% of next rounds intended damage output if you try to fire gun one or twice after “YOU DASTARD!” emote without reloading to fix it first.
Anyway, I hope this post will give the weapon’s dev guys some fun inspiration for a completely random behaving gun that is totally Tuco in everyway!
As a fan of spaghetti westerns, another revolver in honors of Angel Eyes (Lee Van Cleef) will also be great.
