How long is "for a short time"?

So there are some anointments out there that do something “for a short time”. For example, on my Brainstormer, I have “After skill ends, weapon damage is increased by 100% for a short time”. I see others with handling or fire rate and reload speed, etc.

I just want to know how long the buff lasts. I don’t see a buff icon on the bottom so I’m really curious to know how long “a short time” really is.

I’ve been wondering this too. By play, non-scientific, I’m guessing 5 seconds.

I ended up googling it (omg) and the youtube video i watched timed it at almost 12 seconds consistently.
