Anyone have any advice on when to replace my Viral Marketer? About to go into TVHM. Stats are as follows
Damage:149x5
Accuracy:73.3
Fire Rate:3.4
Reload Speed:3.4
Mag Size:9
Corrode dps:95.3
Corrode Chance:8%
the unique ability of the viral marketer is that shots ricochet off surfaces, has better accuracy and the spread grows tighter faster than other hyperion guns if i remember right. It’s pretty solid all around so far. Playing Claptrap.
Viral Marketer?, go to TPS forum mate (well…it’s a Conference Call, isn’t it?)
yeah, wrong section

As for your question, you should change guns when they start to feel weak, there are no hard rules on this.
Though you should probably keep the VM for armored targets only and switch to another element against shield and flesh.
I completely spaced out sorry! Pre sequel >_<’
Um almost immediately tbh, The second you find almost any on level hyperion shotty, or jakobs shotty, or torgue shotty. It’s projectile count is fairly low and its basically inferior to most basic shotties, especially for claptrap, even more so if you go into OLT.
for a corrosive shotty, almost any critical prefix hyperion glitch will outshine it.
When you get a blowfly, I prefer the floated
Replace it as soon as possible. You will have to sooner or later, you’ll outlevel it eventually.
Replace it when it no longer kills the way you want it to kill. I keeping putting them in my backpack with conference call nostalgia and then selling them after they cause me to die. You can farm the denial subroutine for a half an hour or so and with the grinder come up with a good glitched shotgun. Look for shock first (unless you have an non-elemental build).
Read Chuck’s post on how to shotgun. It will tell you what to look for in a gun.
Edit: I took my own advice yesterday and farmed Denial Subroutine for about a half an hour. If you have been killing it for a while, its a piece of cake. If not, you may need to spend some time there getting to know it. Anyway, I killed it 4 or 5 times and had several good glitch guns drop including a glitched auto firing torgue shotgun that converts rank and file enemies to chowder. The denial subroutine dropped 2 glitched weapons on the first run and 1 each after that. The boss is re-runnable, which means you have to leave the map and come back and it will respawn. There is a chest just inside the motherless board exit, from which I got a glitched Hyperion shotgun. good luck.
One important thing to remember: in NVHM, elemental matching is much more forgiving, with corrosive dealing 0.9x damage to flesh, so it may seem like it’s no big deal. Entering TVHM, you will immediately feel the difference.
I suggest you take the time to look at the elements table if you struggle.
I tested the viral marketer vs. my enforceable bullpup(corrosive) and the bullpup out performed the marketer by a lot. As soon as I get a marketer, it’s either sold or becomes grinder fodder.
