Quick question as per thread title - does the 40% shield restore kick in before damage gets to your precious 1hp? It says ‘instantly restores’ but i stopped trusting the tooltips a while back!

It doesn’t…there’s no health gate on shields…and health gates can’t work on 1hp, so you’ll instantly go down…the same reason why Stop-Gap and Recharger shields don’t work either

No it doesn’t unfortunately. Anything that breaks your shields is going to put you instantly into FFYL, so Tenacious Defense won’t proc. It only works if you survive the shield break.

Whilst such knowledgable Moze people are about - does the ‘Atom Balm’ effect actually increase rad splash damage or is it literally just the ‘aura’/DOT?
The skill totally stopped working for me at some point. Wouldn’t trigger anymore at all. Respec it is. Fix it!
It never worked.
In a 1 hp build there is 1 shield (2 with the dlc version) that works with tenacious defence that will not kill moze; that being the redcard - “sliding into an enemy causes shield to break causing damage based on shield”, the damage is negligible but it does instantly refill to 40% as the skill states
