Sadly I think I already know the answer to this, but I feel like I have to ask. My sister and I have killed Iwajira about 50 times combined since picking up TPS again with the Handsome Edition. Between us, we’ve gotten about 7 Hails and literally 0 Thingies. Is this just INCREDIBLE unluck or did something happen?
Yes, something happened. In one of the early Hot Fixes of the game, Iwajira’s Thingies and legendary drops were changed from common to very rare. Same thing happened with Tork Dredgers. An early Hot Fix stopped them form dropping a Bonus Package Grenade Mod from common to now very rare.
What about the 3x drop increase on May 19th? Wouldn’t that increase Iwa’s chances of dropping the thingy?
My bad. You are correct. It’s May 26th Hot Fix increasing the legendary drop rate x3.
Whatever chances there are now, it’s so low that I have literally never seen one drop since the Claptastic Voyage was released.
The same goes for the Sentinel, haven’t seen it drop a single Longnail in a long time, just skins and ZX-1s…
