The Anvil - Inaccessible Door / Map Area (light spoilers)

Ok so this area in The Anvil is pretty small, but nevertheless, there is a door, and what seem to be two rooms behind it (photos below).

I have just killed The Warden, and am just re-running the map to kill him again, get the last Typhon Log / Dead Drop, and grab some chests, before heading to my next objective back in Floodmoor Basin (main story mission “Hammerlocked”, chapter 11 of 24).

I have done the only side quest currently available in the area(Blood Path gang war), and killed the target of opportunity (Flying Tinks), as well as killed the Drogons and their Mother.

Is There a side quest later that opens this area?

Or is just a weirdly designed part of the map?

I feel like Hammerlock sends you there for a side mission, although I can’t quite remember just now. My FL4K has that part uncovered so it must be via a side mission.

He’s on his way back to the lodge (Hammerlock is), so that would make sense.

I feel like a queat that becomes available on your return takes you there. There was an area that was blocked off until I found the quest giver on the way to the Legendary Hunt. However, I’m not 100% sure.

I’ve been informed it is most likely the Hammerlock quest “Malevolent Practice”.
