This build focuses on Kill Skills, Speed, his fastest action skills, action skill cooldown reduction, heatlh regen, survival, and triggering one of your action skills every 15 to 20 seconds.

The capstone of the sentinel tree triggers all your kill skills. In the middle of the sentinel tree I use something that boosts all kill skills to get extra length and better percentages.

I equip the shield and the decoy because their cooldown rates are much faster than the sentinel drone. That does limit your augment options, unfortunately but I feel like this is worth it. I am trying to find/build a decent solo boss killing build where I can rely on consistent DPS and health regen.

I use a bunch of health regen things that are triggered by having kill skills activated.

I use some of the speed stuff that zane has, but not all of it. I instead opted for the cooldown reduction in the green skill tree.

I equip transfusion grenades that the decoy throws for me.

I use a flakker and a hornet as my weapons when fighting pain and terror. Mayhem 2 currently. Mayhem 3 will be tested next with this. And I have a legendary class mod for zane which boosts 3 things near the bottom of the blue skill tree.

I opted to not extend action skill duration because I need to be able to retrigger my action skill faster. Unfortunately this might mean having to not use the legendary class mod I have equipped but it doesn’t seem to ruin the concept too much.

I dont think clone uses your grenade stock, so you can save a point in pockets full of grenades.

Probably right. It would likely go back to the sentinel tree.

Sometimes my build has tried the super clone skill. The one that uses up to 3 grenades in order to make the clone many times more powerful (but, in my opinion not strong enough or noticeable enough).

See this isn’t bad, though a bit all over the place. I prefer Rough Rider + Legendary Infiltrator (Legendary infiltrator boosts speed + damage with low shields. Rough rider has 0 shields but boosts health and total resistance.) From there there’s 3 paths to go down.

This- This build maxes zane’s speed and alternate grenade tossing. It’s raw DPS and great for team play since the kill skills can be active w/o killing (a problem when you have 4 people slogging down enemies together). If you don’t like Boom, Enhance that’s fine, just swap that skill for literally anything else you want

This is my current solo build. It cuts out a good bit of power however the defense is incredible. There is a HUUUUUGE cost to going down the green skill tree with rough rider + infiltrator tho. Rough rider makes all 3 of those first skills absolutely useless, as not even adrenaline works. The protection and constant 5% regen, however, are absolutely incredible, especially in solo. If you really want you can also swap out the digiclone for shield with relay and nanites for a nice portable booster station, but it’s completely preferential. Getting that +75% resistance (“shared health”) with the clone is so useful tho.

this is the exact opposite of the DPS build. this build is all about longevity, cutting hard into the digiclone tree’s boosts for the sake of absolutely INSANE defense. You can also swap the shield for all-rounder + deterrence if you just want a pure protection bubble, which with as much health regen as this has might not be a bad idea. Overall, one of my favorite builds for longer but safer gameplay. Cryo weapons are best with this build.

Aaaaand that’s about it, all 3 maximized zane lines. That last one, btw, with a legendary infiltrator with damage resistance, which averages around 20, along with rough rider and the shield tree stats means that you get ~75% damage resistance with elemental damage turned off on the kill streak. If that doesn’t scream “Screw you literally every other enemy” I don’t know what does.

regarding 1st build. Raw DPS. I feel like you’re missing out on not putting at least one point in the “kill skill for increased fire rate”. Unless your class mod is boosting into that for you. If cold bore lasted longer than 1 shot I would probably be more interested in it and I often forget about weapon swapping to get that cryo damage shot anyhow. So that’s why I skip that now. The weapon swap speed is nice I guess.

And I skip the duct tape skill because 1) it’s not guaranteed. 2) it doesn’t say whether it uses my grenade mod and 3) it could probably kill me.

When I was focusing on movement speed above all else I did enjoy the additional movement from the decoy tree. And as I said above, I prefer less duration on my action skills so I can trigger my action skills more frequently (and therefore kill skills too as well as some annointed effects).

I want to take another stab at using the decoy’s capstone and the shield capstone. One fun trick is starting your decoy with your rocket launcher equipped. He doesn’t use your ammo. :stuck_out_tongue: And I suspect he can’t hurt you with his rockets. If I do go down that road, my priorities will be different. Longer duration is great when I am not focusing on triggering them all the time.

So the fire rate isn’t bad, but realistically it isn’t as important as other mods.

And duct tape is one of zane’s best skills. It does use your grenade mod, a good fast firing gun will trigger it easily, and just use hex or firestorm and you’ll be fine. Cold bore is great for the swap speed. Taking advantage of elements is crutial. Honestly I’ve thought of getting triple cutsman for all core elements and then something like my influential butcher to be my elementless gun for those mayhem 3 modes. Side an alchemist (and/or my annointed rowans call) for the AR+50%, smg shotty -50% mayhem debuff. Being able to maximize the swap speed for these elements is huge and honestly makes zane one of the best characters to take advantage of the core element’s damage boost.
