Why are people using bloodletter for hex lmao

Thread title stands. I keep seeing people referencing hex spam to be correlated with Bloodletter (lol) yet Blaster master and MindSweeper are inherently better for hex.

Obviously this doesn’t matter if you are playing SoR build (bless your heart).

Pull the Holy Pin skill from blaster master is the strongest point of the mod and highest dps gain for hex. Where the mindsweeper is better for scenarios where hex isn’t effective (where it can’t hit bosses, etc).

MindSweeper is probably the best mod for moze. The mini grenades are awesome and gain element of the original damage source: if your hex is rad it will drop rad mini grenades. I’ve been testing MindSweeper on graveward and the explosions act like mini porcelain pipe bombs in relation to gravewards hit box. Sometimes one mini grenade can take out 10-20% of his total HP. Fire lyuda giving lots of crits and fire mini grenades :).

Ultimately I want a mix of MindSweeper and Blastmaster for the next set of class mods. The mini grenades Keyword + Pull the Holy Pin skill+.

One thing to test would be if mini grenades get increased by grenade damage %+ bonus. I’m assuming they do?

  1. Contrary to popular belief Graveward isnt the only content in the game.

  2. The main reason to use a Hex with the bloodletter is becuase its makes you virtually unkillable with 1hp builds based on how the Hex procs.

So yes… blastmaster and Minesweeper is more damage… you cant do damage if you’re dead.

Hex makes you unkillable with 5/5 Vampyr regardless of the mod. You can literally mob TVHM M3 with 0/21/0 build.

You can still get 1 shot especially if you have a dot on you if you rely on health. Without any gear updrages you’re looking at 7k max health…with bloodletter you can get as high as 80k.

Guess some people need pointing out the obvious.

On top of it with Bloodletter you can run Loaded Dice and still never die and get tons of loot in process. Good luck doing that without Bloodletter - you would get one shot faster than you can say “mommy”, because you would have something like 2k max HP.

Mobbing is really easy no matter what

Unless you talking about Slaughter Shaft, but even there guns can annihilate if the Mayhem mods are favorable

The issue is them annihilating you - the potential one shot

Hm, Infinite healing and super damage with JUST a grenade or… little to no healing and some damage? That is based solely on crits, and a micro grenade that might hit your target/s?

I’ll take Bloodletter and Infinite Hex Healing that can clear a room in seconds for 500, Alex.

Talking about slaughter of course.

I am spamming Slaughter Shaft M3 oflline with Hex/Bloodletter/Loaded Dice and I am currently clocking about 50 legendaries/19 minutes. My biggest issue is bank space, because I crammed it and two other characters full of Anointed or OPAF stuff.

There is no way in hell I could do this with Blaster Master AND Loaded Dice because I’d be in FFYL like half the time and respawning right and left.

Honestly I play both. I prefer Blastmaster bc Bloodletter is so tanky its boring.

Slap on Loaded Dice for extra fun. 16k shield base then.

I’m not sure if “Loaded Dice” is that good, as we don’t know how much it increases luck. I did dozens of runs in “Slaughter Shaft” with and without “Loaded Dice” with varying results each run. But I can not say that “Loaded Dice” had a noticable better performance on the drop rates. I also tried an artifact with a static “+12.67 Luck” effect and that seemed better although I only did 10 runs with it.

So for farming “Slaughter Shaft” I now use my “Blast Master” class mod again with an artifact that has +30% grenade damage and +12.67 Luck. It’s a lot faster to clear it with this combination.

I’m currently clocking about 50 legendaries per 19 minutes of Slaughter Shaft M3 run with Loaded Dice. I don’t know how much different it is without Loaded Dice, but it’s certainly stronger than mere +12 luck.

I did 100 graveward runs with loaded dice (additionally +12 luck) & 100 without. I didn’t collect the data in a spreadsheet, but it didn’t feel different or better at all…

Can you add more details, so that I can compare it to my results?

  • How many complete runs (all 5 rounds) do you do in these 19 Minutes?
  • On TVHM M3 or Normal M3?
  • Online or offline?
  • What is your Guardian Rank Luck stat?
  • Do you have the Luck perk unlocked in Guardian Ranks?

Btw. on the luck stat vs. Loaded Dice I found these threads:

Well we have to see how luck is calculated towards the already “Supposed” hundreds of percentage points of drop rates of Mayhem Mode.

If you’re getting “500%” quote unquote in Mayhem 3 and 12.67% turns that to 512.67% or let’s even say 560%…I dont think either one of those will make a difference. Like everything else in the game…I dont think luck is balanced towards Mayhem Mode.

This is why i prefer builds with viability. I dont like throwing nades like an idiot 1000 times. This is no smooth gaming to me!

Uuuuugh…okay. I’m pretty sure people who do prefer playing a game different than you dont like being called idiots.

Hex is chosen to support the Bloodletter playstyle. Bloodletter isn’t chosen as the best mod to support Hex spam. In terms of durability it comes down to tanking with healthgate (will need to second wind infrequently) or tanking with an excessive amount of shields.

Bloodletter comes with hefty gun damage buffs, enabling a wider range of playstyles than the standard Demo tree nade build. You also don’t get punished for using a gun that needs to reload. I heard from one person’s testing that it takes 70 seconds of not reloading to reach 100% splash.

I’d like to better understand the mini-nade COM. The other two seem to overshadow it.

I did not say this and i dont want it to be understood so!!!
