Zane Buffs that Gearbox can easily do

Zane isn’t a bad character. He’s just not as broken OP as the other 3 characters can be. Too many of Zane’s skills are tied to conditionals. These are the buffs I would give Zane.

Doubled Agent
-Praemunitus - 10% per level, ie 30% at 3/3. Now weapons with 4 in the mag get a 5th shot
-DonnyBrook - Allow it to stack a minimum of 3 times. 45% gun damage at 3 stacks (56.25 with dfc) Using an action skills adds a stack with “seeing red”
-Duct Tape - Remove one of the conditionals. Make it 1st shot every (12/11/10/9/8) secs OR (4/8/12/16/20)% chance every shot with an 8s cooldown OR (4/8/12/16/20)% chance on first shot of every mag
-Like A Ghost - Make additional ignore bullet chance be on kill (kill skill) that can be buffed with “death follows close”, NOT on action skill activation
-Trick of Light - EITHER always on OR make “which one is real” function as a MMO RPG tank’s taunt that draws aggro of all enemies in a very large radius so a solo player can utilize trick of light

Hitman
-Violent Speed - Make it like “cool hand” where each level adds a base movement speed increase with additional movement speed increase on kill
-Cold Bore - Bonus Cryo damage should apply for the entire magazine after swap, not just the first shot. Lasts until reload.
-Violent Violence - Allow it to stack 3 times up to 60% increase rate of fire (75% with death follows close) Using an action skill adds a stack with “seeing red”
-Good Misfortune - Remove the diminishing returns

Under Cover
-Adrenaline - Remove its tie to shields and have it be a straight action skill cooldown
-Best Served Cold - Either increase its damage, Remove its cooldown or both.

These are the changes I would make to Zane today if I could. Compared to what he has now, These would give Zane an extra ~40% gun damage with “donnybrook”, ~40% rate of fire increase with “violent violence”, more easily accessible damage multipliers of 30% with “cold bore” and 18% with “trick of light”. These would also improve some QoL issues with Zane by allowing “adrenaline” to function with the rough rider and “praemunitus” to effect 4 round magazine weapons. Additionally, Duct Tape and Good Misfortune would become worth investing in.

I think Donnybrook doesn’t need stacking but what they need to do is change the regen to be based on your max health rather than missing health because 2.5% of missing health per second at 5/5 is just pathetic. It’s the only health regen skill in his Clone tree so they might as well make it a bit more viable.
Agreed on Like a Ghost, with Zane being much better at extending his action skill duration than he is at reducing his cooldown, so having stuff happen upon activation is just meh.
I think Cold Bore could be abusable with certain guns if it applied to the whole mag, stuff like the Lucians Call, the Chadd, the Butcher or the infinity that can go for a very long time or even forever without reloading.
I also feel like they could change Playing Dirty to be duration based rather than the next 5 shots which would also allow it to benefit more from Death Follows Close. If Two Fang on Fl4k isn’t broken then Playing Dirty wouldn’t be either.

Zane have many skills depending on hes moving speed but…
Moore speed = more damage and what ??

He should have skill that allow him shoot when sprinting. What was my surprise when I saw this skill in Maze tree really ??? its a joke ?

While this change could open up the possibility of Cold Bore to be abused with a few guns, It makes it usable by all guns. Currently it is only good for high damage per shot weapons and is only activated upon 2 conditions, after a swap and first shot.

Cold Bore is Zane’s biggest damage multiplier he has. It needs to be for more than just the first shot. The entire mag might be too much, but the ability is also hurt by the fact the extra damage is cyro damage when quite a few mobs are outright immune to it.

A few guns could be abused but it would not be any more abusable or broken then what other VH’s can do right now.

Violent Momentum: 3/6/9/12/15% Damage (still) + 1.25% stack for each second you move (Max: 15) applied to damage while you move. Stacks will be lost quickly when you stop walking. - I’d like something like this (it’s just a hypothesis)
Each kill skill should provide at least a small passive bonus. Many of them have unimaginable potential, like Futility Belt.
The skill tree of the digi-clone is not comparable to that of Jack and is horrible.

I’d like Duct Tape Mod to have some synergy with weapons with larger magazine size. Maybe, every 25-30 shots fired, it’d also have a chance to proc. Nerves of Steel stacks should be lost over time, instead of all of them at once. Distributed Denial maybe could give an extra 10% gun damage at all times. Doppelbanger needs to be instant or at least have drastically reduced charge time.

Yep, make the chance 100% the 8second cooldown is terrible anyway so at least make it guaranteed. So it doesn’t matter and every gun that can’t shoot 10 seconds straight will profit from it.
