(AMARA BUILD) Easiest way to beat slaughter shaft solo

I think its safe to say that the slaughter shaft is currently by far the hardest content ingame… them Damn triple health bar enemies and the constant anointed or Hardened Badass zealots that always comef with damn rocket launchers is sure to make you try out many builds.

Ive personally found a pretty effective way to solo it on a majority of MH3 modifiers. obviously youill always get cucked by the 30% reflect chance, double enemy splash radius or -70% elemental damage.

Its pretty simple actually. Cryo+Shock is OP and Amara exels in this. The main issue with that place is the constant triple health bar enemies. i was struggling until i saw a damage chart and learned that cryo is almost as good as corrosive against armor, and has no damage penalty against flesh. I use 2 points into infusion(dont use more) and 1 point in forcefull expression, and a shock action skill. This allows you to use a cryo weapon and hit every single enemy hard. you melt shields with the 16% of ur dmg being shock, and a BONUS 18% shock(this is multiplicative and major), cryo melts armor and doesnt get resisted by flesh. you only need to switch to a fire weapon for anointed enemies(imune to cryo) wich there rly isnt that many compared to the non stop 5-6 enemies on the map with 3 health bars.

Personal space is a major damage increase for 3 points, and after getting forcefull expression, the only thing is always get is ascendant

sustainement means as long as your doing damage, you wont die. very effective with the weapons i use
Use Ties that Bind and Stillness of mind. so much crowd control (laid bare doesnt work on the target u grasped, but applies to the enemies that get linked wich is pretty major)

Phazezerker Mod is incredible even without avatar, mostly used for the 150% cooldown, allowing us to keep all of the bonuses we get from using action skills on at all times

Ive actually found multiple weapons that work rly well. my 2 favorite weapons happen to be extremely versatile because its a SMG and a AR. So if one is getting debuffed from mayhem modifiers, the other one is always getting buffed. helps alot

i use Crossroads and laser-splosions. i have a cryo and fire one of each, they are both incredibly good and have very long sustained fire especially with Dread, making it reload after killing phaselocked enemies. We are also getting 20% more mag size with both, and im using an artifact that gives me 40% mag size as well. this is important because as long as we are shooting, we are healing alot. I also always have a hellwalker shotgun. this thing kills anointeds in 3 headshots, and with amara, you can get the mag big enough to fire 2 per reload(reloads super fast).

ive purposedly left out skill points because i am still unsure of the best use for them. Both laid bare and Helping hands have their merits and i think can be just as effective

link to a video of my playing the 5th round in its entirety, forgot to show modifiers, very sorry. they were: +50% smg, shotgun and pistol dmg, -50% AR and Sniper dmg, enemies gain 45% increased health armor and shields, enemies gain 2 extra projectiles, enemies get 50% more accuracy

I find this to be the easiest of the slaughters. To be fair, Creature Slaughter is only made harder by Prismatic Rakks, but Maliwan Slaughter is by far the hardest IMO.

Good stuff. I also use Crossroad and Lasersploder. I also use a fire Butcher which just melts things at point blank. I tried the Hellwalker, and I love DOOM and Jakobs shotguns but at the end of the day the reload was just holding me back. Butcher felt a lot better and more consistent. If I find another Hellwalker though I will give it another shot with this build.

I also got a Hornet and AAA, both are GREAT pistols for Amara, and they have guaranteed elements with better DOTs. Plus they are Dahl, which I just love anything Dahl in this game. These weapons feel so crisp and powerful.

@Slif_One I would agree Maliwan slaighter is the hardest one but mainly because of the design of the arena combined with the flying dudes that shoot you and the fact that all enemies will be shielded. Those Rakks make creature slaughter tough, but for the most part the enemies don’t have ranged attacks so they all just bum rush you, and as Amara that’s exactly what you want. In Maliwan though, it’s so big and so much cover and the enemies will actively avoid getting close usually. This forces you to go after them which means you put yourself in bad positions to get kills and you are exposed. It’s harder to kill multiple enemies at once, and if you go down it’s easy for them just hide behind stuff. Slaughter shaft is a close second because it has the toughest enemies.

Look for a Night Hawkin. Not sure how in-game time works, but at night it will start to shoot 2-3 bullets that also deal Incendiary Dmg, and it’ll just melt everything when it goes. Similar to the crossroads, but it’s cryo and won’t use as much ammo. Sometimes the stats screen wont update, though (so you wont see it change to ### x 3 dmg or whtv)

I’ve seen it as x2, not sure if thats for dusk or something.

Also, watch out for infused. It can end up making you heal a lot less with Sustainment.

The link to the build does not seem to work correctly. At least for me, it always hsows no points allocated to any skill.

Also I suppose this should be in the Amara section instead of the General Discussion scetion?

interesting, as much as i hate the creature slaugter, i find it quite easy

i dont have much issues with the maliwan one, using a fire weapon with the bonus shock damage we deal just makes quick work of everything. and stormchuker heavys just make me immortal with my transformer shield
