Need help building melee Amara

As mentioned above, I need some help building a viable TVHM M3 Amara build. Dealing huge damage numbers isn’t really a problem, since the Face-Puncher shotgun scales with our melee damage and we got tons of ways to boost it. But currently my problem is the survivability. I was tinkering with some options here. Unfortunately I just found more questions instead of answers…

  1. Does Face-Puncher ignite enemys with the El Dragon jr. relic slotted? Since its pellets count as melee damage, I think it should.

  2. If the answer of 1. is yes, how does that interact with the Sustainment skill? Since we ignite enemys with our weapon, does the dot of the relic heal us? Could be huge, since I heard the dot of the relic scales with our melee damage!

  3. If none of these options work, what would you suggest to stay alive as melee amara, if I want to use the El Dragon relic? Or sould I just switch it with a melee lifesteal relic?

You can literally stand in a mob and do nothing for like 30 seconds and you won’t die

  1. Yes, but DoT damage is based off ONE pellet damage, so it’s low.
  2. I don’t notice any healing when I specced sustainment . Might be my memory.
  3. Lifesteal grenades. 40% damage reduction from Helping Hand(s) + up to 29% from legendary class mod. 2/4% healing from Brawler Ward. Better positioning with Mindfulness actually saves me a lot more than extra healing from Clarity and/or Samsara. Soul Sap action skill effect helps a little bit.
