Matchmaking Wait times

Its takes a long time to find people for proving grounds and if the devs can add the option join a low level player with a high level character

Get a console version. Problem solved.

I have the ps4 version, wait time is an average 10 minutes, and most of the time it puts me with someone a lower level, so the gear dropped is that level, and if it’s Proving Grounds, its not even worth the wait, 32 times 1 legendary, whole thing sucks. Most if the time, it’s only me and another in there, it never once put a whole group of four

im on ps4

First, Circle of Slaughter multiplayer is where it’s at. Proving Grounds rewards are busted.

Second, I know that it does match other levels up, I got into a Mayhem 3 level 50 proving grounds when I was matchmaking as level 16 Zane.

Are you in cooperative mode? If you joined a lower level game, it should still give you rewards at your level.

What are wait times like if you’re just trying to link up with someone for regular story coop?

fast but i usually get kicked from the lobby because idiots dont know how to set their lobby to invite only

Am on PS4. Takes a long time in these days (also last week), and it is for any event. Often I cancel after minutes. Often I find only one player. Why ?
Is it going to get better ? I like coop a lot but in these days am playing almost nothing due to the issue.
Thanks

High level characters do not want to be paired up with low level characters. Even if low level characters have the enemies scaled to them they aren’t going to be able to keep up with mayhem modifiers and the volume of enemies that are thrown at you in proving grounds / circle of slaughter

yesterday I tried a few events and waited…and waited…and then cancelled. Nobody. Only once I got one player. Exited. End.
Solutions coming ? Thanks.

Mentioned it plenty of times, it needs to have a server list of who’s playing what and to join that way. Auto Matchmaking is a step backwards compared to BL2 even.

(I don’t even try to play online anymore unless inviting because my experience has been trash, long waits, people forget to select private not public, speed runners, people who run right to the boss and leave trash mobs, etc,…)

Wish it was like that.
Could it be they made it as it is because they were planning cross-platform ?

Still would run across the same issues regardless of platform. If it was for cross play, still no reason to not list peoples games. Could still do matchmaking for cross platform and then have a list of local games on platform. It is sad to me that I am not spending more time in multiplayer like I did in BL2.

same here. Somebody has some stats to share about multiplayer and how it’s doing ? Have no idea how crowded the online is.

Wish there was, only time I do is by invite now. You’d think a better system would be in play but no,… this is almost 2020 and a poor interface for the year that dates back to playing multiplayer on GameCube.

EVERY TIME I GO ONLINE: Sit there for 10 min to join a game. Host messages you saying they are inviting their friends. Host forgot to set to private instead of public. Host kicks you. You reconnect matchmaking waiting 5 minutes, you join same game, host kicks you. You wait 7 minutes, finally join a different game. Host runs speed kills boss and quits. You join match making again, waiting 7 minutes. Everyone is standing around throwing gear in sanctuary and trying to trade you. You quit, join matchmaking, wait 10 minutes. Join a game, host messages you that they are waiting for friends, kicks you. Matchmaking 5 minutes again, join their game again, get kicked. Matchmaking again, wait 7 minutes, quits matchmaking, goes back to solo game.

PS: that is almost 45 min of not playing.

I think you summarized it perfectly. I got kicked a lot of times, sometimes for no reason. Whatever, even in coop, you have the impression you play solo and that somebody else is around. Not exactly what a coop is.
Maybe coop should be played only when in party with real friends and we should just not do any matchmaking at all. Which is probably what I’ll do.
