I’ve seen people talk about Zane fallING pretty short in the endgame. I’ve played to lvl 38 with him going down the middle tree. And even then I feel the digi clone is pretty lack luster. So I’ve had a few ideas make it more powerful. They may or may not be over powered ideas.
Zane for example his middle tree has a skill where you have a 20% chance to shoot a grenade on first shot. This to me should be changed to 25% on first shot and a 50% gun damage increase on the mag that shot a gernade on first shot. As well as a flat 20% gernade damage increase.
His digi clone should have a argumentation that turns it into a badass digi gaining 50% health and damge increas. Another that duel weilds two of your current gun which would raise fire rate for the digi by 100%.
(Affects digi clone only)The skill that consumes 3 grenades and makes the digi stronger to me should just be a flat 10% damage, and reload speed increase with 100% increase in health.
Maybe another skill that affects Zane and his digi. Where he gains a 20% chance to fire a shot doing x2 the damge (can stack with grenades being shot)
No matter what they do he will still be a.i. look at the enemies in game would you like any of them as your partner. Guess not. Coding clone that will work with every gun is really hard. While buffs are needed,U can not make him good, ifbu make it be aimbot and aim for crits it will be too strong in other ways he is uselessness.
Few things could be done however. U can order sntnl to hit specific target why not have this for Zane clone? Make detonation faster. Make enemies target clone more. No matter augment enemy almost always shoots U not the clone. Ignore bullet chance is too low in values. Shock dmg to non targeting enemies is not great. All first and most second tier skills are great! But deeper into the tree it falls apart.
Tldr: clone will never be good because it is an a.i. and it is too much effort for gbx.
I disagree. Just because it’s a AI does not mean it can’t be helpful. I loved playing as Roland, and Axton, and there not to different really in the sense of the clone is kinda like a turret in a way. And I was always able to run though a horde of enemies pretty easily with them.
If you want crits to be apart of the clones abilities you could add to my badass digi idea with your idea. Take away the 10% damage increase and make it a 100% crit damage increase and have 3 set target shots like with the sntl and Flaks pets.
I am not saying it can not be fixed or done. I just don believe gbx will ever bother and turret is incomparable to double barrel deleted difficulty.imagine your clone using infinite ammo lyuda with u
I think the infinity would make depending on your skill pretty useless. I use the gernade on first shot and that would ruin that for both me andthe clone. Unless it’s shot counts as the first.

I’m just saying the two in a way are similar. Both stationary targets that shoot at enemies. Just Zanes digi is kinda lack luster to Axtons double gun, rockets, two turrets near the end.
But yes I do agree that gearbox will never do much of anything to fix the problems. Even Timothys digi were great.
