In the areas where Hope and Despair spawn, I noticed that the giant statue of Jack has a glass chin that shatters when you shoot it. Since nothing else on the statue reacts this way, I wonder if this is tied into some easter egg. Anyone else see this?
His face gets removed and a claptrap appears IIRC.
you need to hit 3 spots total on Jacks face to remove it. You also complete a badass challenge if you do it.

Hmm. Interesting but a little disappointed. IMO, this game has too many easter eggs that are just novelties. I would have liked to have seen more things like the easter egg from the BL2 Halloween headhunter where you go do alot of stuff and spawn a hidden boss.

I think the boss name is Carl the Crpytkeeper. I dont remember the specifics but, in the Hallowed Hallow headhunter, there are a handful of orange pumpkins scattered around the map. You have to shoot these. Also, there are a number of TVs scattered around and you have to turn these on. I also believe you can only do this after you have killed the story boss. Once you have done these things, Carl will spawn outside the church with a chance to drop a Nukem. There might have been one or two other things you needed to do.
Its a pretty ambiguous easter egg so it was a surprise people figured it out a few days after the release. I guess some people search the code for text or use 3rd party software to look for spawnable items.
