Headhunter Packs Plot Synopsis Please

Only ever played the first 2 headhunter packs and it was a WHILE ago.

Could someone please catch me up on the events that occur over the 8 HH’s?

  1. You help T.K. Baha and the undead town of Hollowed Hollow defeat a giant pumpkin.
  2. You help Torgue defeat a giant turkey as a promo event.
  3. You help Marcus and the town of Gingerton defeat a giant snowman who wants to kill all of them.
  4. You try to help Moxxi unite the Hodunk and Zaford clans by making a love potion to marry the Goliath couple. It backfires.
  5. You go on vacation but have to rescue Hammerlock from the Son of Crawmerax who wants revenge on the BL1 VHs for killing his father.

Side quests not included.

In the Craw headhunter, Mordecai quit drinking to raise his new bird. So he’s stone sober now.

I played that DLC for the second time Friday, and I just noticed that Lilith is extremely happy and carefree, in contrast to TPS. Even when Talon is biting her so hard that he’s drawing blood, she toughs through it and still calls him cute anyways. Take from this what you will. I have ideas, but this isn’t the thread for that.

Well, the son of Captain Flynt also sends out people from YOUR past to kill you.

Axton has some Dahl dude.

Gaige has some assassins from Marcy’s uncle.

Zer0 has some… random guy.

Krieg has a Doctor.

Maya has a guy from the people who ruled her planet.

Salvador has the last standing man from a bandit clan he wiped in one day.

PLOT TWIST: They’re all dead when you find them!

Ex-Wife of Axton saves him.

Gaige’s dad saves her.

Someone who finds Maya good looking saves her. (probably Tannis)

Some guy saves Salvador.

Someone saves Krieg. (That someone is referred to as “Sammy”)

Someone saves Zer0 and leaves him a message saying “0ne”. In which Zer0 says that that’s cryptic.

I just listened to it. It does sound like Tannis’ writing, but I don’t think she loves Maya. “…Although I find your physical attractiveness repulsive…” Sounds like normal Tannis, not in-love Tannis.

Rather odd when you think about it. Athena’s capture happens almost immediately after Jack’s demise as Mord is still supporting an injured Brick. Additionally, only in the credits of BL2 we see Mord holding Talon’s egg and it probably didn’t hatch immediately (and he obviously didn’t find it during BL2).
As we know from TPS, “war is coming” but HH5 seems to take place a bit further in the future than TPS itself (mainly because of Talon). It is weird that Lilith is suddenly so cute during HH5 after being so antagonistic in TPS as if nothing bad happened (or is going to happen).
If “war is coming” they surely don’t have time for some vacation right?

It doesn’t, HH5 is before TPS narration.

That’s 'cause Athena almost killed them while they were trying to capture her.

Not really, there’s the Tina DLC and HH5 before the capture.

I guess you’re right but I still find it weird that Brick is supported in exactly the same way as in BL2’s ending and nobody makes any reference to Talon in TPS when it is supposed to happen after HH5.

Tina references B&B when you reach the Outlands, so there’s that. Maybe there was no reason to mention Talon.

Busting in to ask…these are each basically a single quest and a couple of short side quests, correct? I’ve been wondering whether they’re worth the price.

I guess it depends on how much you expect 10 bucks to get you. I would totally recommend the Mercenary Day one and the Son of Craw one.

Mercenary Day gives you a fun alternative farm source in the loot train, and Craw Jr gives you my personal favourite raid boss in BL2. It also gives you a little more story and some fun stuff like treasure Varkids to mess around with.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the Halloween or Moxxi ones and never tried the Thanksgiving one.
