i dont have much time to test and was wondering if anyone already tested it, but lets say i want to hit a shielded flesh enemy as hard as possible to keep blitz going, what is stronger, having a Shock action skill with the Incendiary melee imbue? or a Incendiary action skill with a shock imbue. out of logic im expecting SHOCK AS is stronger as it should be hitting first and then fire. but would love for someone to confirm. thanks
also, has anyone tested what the sticky bomb effect from white elephant scales off? is it more melee dmg? is it strong enough to synergize well with arms deal?
Well, if they have high shields, shock will be for sure the main thing you want to do.
Drop some points into Tier 1 and 2 into FoE tree and you can get some massive bonus electric damage to your punch as well, plus if your doing TVHM, you get 200% damage on electric attacks, so just lots of bonus damage. I would say incendiary melee imbue would be the way to go, so all your normal punches do your elemental electric damage. But don’t quote me on that 100%.
I just got to 50 with melee only, and I can say the 75% melee lifesteal relics are actually unbalanced, I’m hitting 14k, healing for 10.5k, and I only have 8k health, so you can just stand and tank while hitting
thats completely irrelevant to my question tho. dragon relic damage doesnt count as my melee hit, so doesnt bypass the cooldown on blitz ability. wich is what i was asking for
sadly you cannot one shot enemies with double or triple health bars (possible if you weaken them with weapons first before blitzing). if it is a one bar enemies everything dies with blitz as long as long as you hit the hitbox.
yeah same with zero, gun/sniper zero is stronger but melee zero is satisfying. just like amara, elemental amara is broken, but punching enemies is fulfilling.
i am working on a hybrid, ttb-melee, so i can go both ways.
The melee works well, I got the Legendary Relic that grants a huge elemental damage bonus and Shock-charges your melee after sliding. I was hitting roughly 1.5 k at level 29 at the time with Illuminated Fist and Find Your Center and it jumped to nearly 4 k for the main element and just a bit less with the added Shock damage.
Haven’t tested the basic melee relics yet, but I got Cryo and Radiation drops for it I’m thinking of testing once I start TVHM.
it works on mayhem 3. you just need to have some good shock and corrosive weapons to deal with those multiple health bars.
i am hitting 150K with blitz, one shotting health bar enemies. and if it ha link to 3 or more via ties that bind they all dies. Then remnant will proc dealing roughly the same damage killing what is left alive.
she is weak though if you got surrounded by 3-4 triple health bar enemies or anointed enemies with fire immunity plus weilding rocket launchers. lol
I like Cryo. I have 2 points into infusion with shock action skill damage, so that little 16% of my gun damage becoming shock shreds the shields no matter what gun I use (shock has 250% bonus vs shield in TVHM). Cryo has nearly the same bonus vs armor as corrosive and it has no penalties vs flesh. Makes it possible to strip every life bar away without a weapon or firing mode swap.
It’s hard to say with Shock you’re gonna be doing a lot of damage and if you can 1 shot a shielded enemy you’ll never see the difference.
However I noticed that the Base Melee damage is applied first, then the Bonus damage if they’re still alive.
So let’s say I have a 80% Radiation Artifact. I punch for 20k. If the enemy outright dies the radiation damage wont show. However if it’s a stronger enemy it’ll show 20k shock followed by 16k Radiation damage.
I feel like Radiation is probably the strongest bonus damage artifact because slams have a 100% chance of giving a radiation Debuff and if you dont outright kill something you can buff your damage by debilitating them.
Radiation is also a good companion to have fire Melee as Radiation does more damage to shields, albeit less than shock. This will ultimately help you crack a shield faster.
