What could the "other -ane" be?

One of my favourite lines of TPS dialogue occurs during the “Bunch of Ice Holes” mission given to you by NurseNina.

She mentions ethane, methane, and another -ane.

Any theories on what this mysterious third -ane could be?

Sheesh!

Pentane, hexane, heptane, octane, nonane other large hydrocarbons…

The Bane in Spain stays mainly in the plain.

Propane, why?

Because methane and ethane have a similar melting point with propane, where higher-order alkanes begin to take a noticeable rise in their melting points. If there was only one other alkane that she’s using, it’ll be propane. If you only get three, and the first two are methane and ethane, the third will be propane. If she was referring to butane, propane would still be frozen in that slush with it, and her description of the alkanes wouldn’t have stopped at three (she would have said, "and other -anes (plural).

Alternately, her English or her chemistry is sketchy; she isn’t sure what she’s talking about and/or can’t describe it well.

A second alternate option is that my English is sketchy (she did pluralize it and I missed it) or my chemistry is sketchy (they’re obviously not at SATP there, and I’m assuming the relationship between the alkanes’ freezing points does not change relative to each other for varying temperatures and pressures).

I just read the title, and I immediately knew it was one of @FlamesForAll’s threads

Octane, Propane, pentane, butane… are all “other-anes”
There are more, I just don,t know much about chemistry
