Movement Speed Damage Buff: When Fired or When Hit?

I’m trying to figure out with slow weapons if anyone has figured out whether the damage is applied as you fire or as you hit. Or if a gyrojet weapon can even benefit.

Hmm, good question. I may try to look into this later but the way to test would probably be to compare damage while standing still vs damage when you shoot out of a slide. Since sliding is around sprint speed. I would guess it’s based on the speed at the moment of shooting but what do I know

My Zane is co-op only so it’s hard to get a good read on what’s going on number wise. What I have gathered is that the boost even at one point is rather significant, and slide firing was something I was doing just for the fun of it anyway. It does make Maliwan less viable on him (I really love Shockwave shot guns, maybe if one has a super fast charge time I’ll get it).

But I got a Hyperion Alien Barrel Host Shot Gun. That fires a ball of fire that bounces three times.
