Do we have a specific source for this locked down yet? I haven’t gotten one, but it’s a central piece of equipment for pretty much every build I’ve seen, so I definitely want one. Knowing where to get it would be great. As it is, the only Legendary COM I’ve seen has been one of Moze’s (longer she goes without reloading, the more Splash Damage she gets), and that came from the Warden in the Anvil. Would he be a good source for other Legendary COMs, or would another enemy be better?

As far as I can tell all of her class mods are world drops like all the other COMs of the other VHs as well. So, it doesn’t really matter where you farm, just pick a spot where you can farm efficiently (fast), preferrably a boss.
Okay. I realize the game is new, but I wasn’t sure if we had started nailing down where things come from, so I thought I’d ask.
BL3 seems to work very different than BL2 in that regard. A lot of the items don’t have a specific enemy drop stuff. Instead it’s global. Anyone-everywhere can drop these things. There are quite a few fixed drop locations/enemies but relatively not nearly as much as in BL2.

One thing to note is that classmods only drop when your online connected to gearbox severs. You will never see one drop (legendary class mods that is) if your playing offline. So if your planning to farm offline to avoid the hotfix you won’t be getting any legendary coms
…okay. not sure why that would be a thing. Besides, I don’t avoid hotfixes.

Testing. I got the same result when blocking the internet connection. You also get more EXP, the EXP required per guardian rank is way lower and you’ll see that some items were changed at some point ( e.g. the Rocket Boots legendary artifact, at least the description, haven’t tested the actual effect).
yeah i just tested it, class mods do not drop in offline mode… pretty weird tho…
People have been purposely doing it because it’s the only way to still utilize the loot Tink farm on Jakob’s estate. The drops are also significantly better.
Makes me wonder if gearbox is time hating some legendary class mod drops? Sounds crazy but can explain why we haven’t seen any that boost the final capstone. The streamer that talked about it and posted the lvl50 Amara melee build way before the game came out is and always has been a very credible borderlands guy so I know he would have just made that up.
I got a legendary Dragon mod for Amara at level 13 from just some random enemy.
Other than that… I haven’t seen another legendary mod drop from anyone else yet, and I am level 48 now.
I got mine out of the golden chest at level 37. I have yet to see any other legendary siren mod after hours and hours of playtime. I wonder if drops are bugged on PS4.
I got mine pretty early from I believe the eridium slot machine9Edit- the machine to the right of the eridium one gives class mods so it may have been that one…). at least it was one of those. I remebr I couldn’t even use it yet lol. The green legendary one I got last night from a random mob in TVHM(no mayham yet since im ps4 and haven’t finished it). I lvled with the phasezerker but I really like this new one it gives good defenses and a point to my melee skill.
Are you talking about the third machine from the left as you enter?
I got 2 phasezerkers from rampager or wtfever that first vault mob is called farming for a rough rider on mayhem 2. Did about 5-7 runs and got 2 so maybe thats a good place to go? Too bad its not the one I’m looking for
Thanks for all the replies. I tried dumping about $500k into the slots at Moxxxi’s (used the third one from the left), but only Legendary COM I got was for the Gunner. I’m still in Normal mode (I explore everything in every area, as well as do all side quests and Crew Challenges, so it takes me a while to get through an area), but wanted to see if there was a specific boss who dropped it. I may go back sometime and farm a few of the bosses to see what I can get, and I’ll keep putting money into the Slot Machines, as well.
Where did you find that out at? Never heard of items only showing up online in any base BL game.
That seems like it would be really bad for single player people who don’t play their games online.
Offline as in your console/PC isn’t connected to the Internet at all, ie not allowing hotfixes to go through during play sessions. Its how people have still been farming the crap out of the Loot Tinks in the Jakobs Estate even after they nerfed their drop rates recently.
Once you get this mod it opens so many build paths. I got mine doing the slaughter
