Just performed a bit of an experiment:
1 - loaded my toon (who is sitting in the vendor room outside the EOS/Eclipse chamber
2 - went in a fought the boss. No glitch.
3 - Saved / quit / reloaded after fight. This time, before starting the fight, brought in a couple of mule toons to remove loot.
4 - Went in a fought the boss without saving and quitting after the mules showed up. Glitch (health fully regen’d along with shield, Helios form would not respawn, Holograms just kept talking).
5 - Saved / quit / reloaded. Went in and fought the boss without bringing in a mule toon. No glitch.
6 - Saved / quit / reloaded. Brought in mule toons. Transferred gear. Immediately went into fight. Same glitch.
7 - Save / quit / reload. No mule, fight. Glitch.
8 - Save / quit / reload. Load mule. Gear transfer. Don’t enter fight.
9 - Save / quit / reload. Fight. No glitch.
10 - Save / quit / reload. Mule visit. Go into fight. Glitch.
11 - Save / quit / reload. No mule, go fight. No glitch.
My theory is that, since the boss loads IMMEDIATELY upon loading the area, unlike, say, RK5, where you have to go down the elevator before the boss loads, any extra toons entering change the parameters of the fight?
Maybe the game does not want a solo player to defeat EOS and get the greater quality / amount of loot?
NOTE: This was all in Online mode, but playing solo only.
I won’t be fighting EOS again for a while as my current character is now dangerously over-leveled due to this research!
