Weapons
- All Hyperion items count towards Company Man. Hyperion weapon damage is also boosted by the Projection class mod, which also boosts Company Man.
- Sponsored By can add a variety of bonuses to all weapons. I will suggest a couple of bonuses, but the absolute best depends on your build.
- For an extensive look at it, check the Sponsored By Guide.
- Note that Fire Rate cannot be infinitely raised. It is limited by the in-game code, as well as frame rate limitations.
- Tediore reload damage is boosted by grenade damage. Except for rocket launchers.
- You can add any element to any weapon, by investing a point in Sponsored By.
- Slow reloads can be negated completely by investing in Marginal Benefit.
- Wide spread can be negated with Celestial Doppelganger. It grants reverse recoil to all weapons.
- Heavy ammo consumption (be it per shot, or due to high fire rate) can be negated by Absolute Advantage. It is boosted by CEO and Projection class mods.
- Glitch weapons:
- Community Guide to Glitch Effects
- Reloading has a chance to add one of four glitch effects. Consult the guide if you are not familiar with the glitch rarity.
- Removing your weapon from your hands (reloading, climbing ladders, swapping, going in the inventory etc) removes the glitch.
- Glitch weapons have 50% more magazine capacity compared to their purple counterparts.
- Just Compensation and Sponsored By can increase their magazine, to extend the use of the glitch.
- Marginal Benefit can restore 100% of the magazine, bypassing the reload.
- Melee to interrupt the Loop glitch and save the bullets.
As you can see above, Jack can manage all disadvantages of weapons. Recoil, ammo consumption, reload, you name it. Because of this, any half-decent weapon can be used with satisfying results. This makes it challenging to separate the great gear from the top gear. If something that you find very effective is seemingly missing, it may be because other items in its category are simply even better. Suggestions are warmly accepted, though.
Entries are not in order of preference. The best item in each category depends on your build. The best element depends on your enemy. Choose wisely.
#Pistols
##Luck Cannon
Very high projectile damage and accuracy. It has a chance to deal additional explosive damage that depends on your distance to the enemy. The farther away, the higher the chance. Its magazine is reduced to a single bullet, but Absolute Advantage takes care of that. If you are not investing in AA, go with the Maggie.
- Alternative:
- Maggie/Pepperbox
- Best Parts:
- Jakobs Grip
- Double prefix (Two Fer) / Damage prefix (Dastardly)
- Sponsored By:
- Jakobs/Dahl
- Obtaining:
- Drops from Badass Glitches/Grinder/World Drop
##Anarchist
Â
With an impressive fire rate, and good stats overall, Anarchists suit Jack well. Absolute Advantage and Just Compensation, paired with the Loop glitch effect, will make its magazine bottomless, allowing you to fill the area with bullets. Recoil issues can be handled with Sponsored By, or the Celestial Doppelganger class mod.
- Alternative:
- Anarchist with shield bypass luneshine
- Proletarian Revolution
- Best Parts:
- Vladof Grip
- Double prefix (Dva) / Fire rate prefix (Vengeful)
- Error Code O0L4M0A4 or O0L4M4A0
- Sponsored By:
- Jakobs/Scav/Maliwan
- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop/Glitch chest
##T4S-R
Â
Fires lasers. High Fire Rate and Accuracy. Highest Elemental Effect Chance among all Pistols, which, combined with its other attributes, makes it a good option for freezing enemies.
Being a Hyperion item, it also counts towards Company Man.
- Best Parts:
- Torgue Grip
- Double prefix (Redundant)
- Sponsored By:
- Jakobs/Scav/Vladof/Torgue (for cryo variant)
- Obtaining:
- Holodome (Guaranteed in Round 1)/Drops from badass enemies in the badass round.
##Maggie
A Jakobs Pistol that fires 6 pellets per shot for just 1 Ammo. Its spread is very manageable, but can be further tightened with Company Man, or the Celestial Doppelganger. Because it has a much higher default magazine than the Luck Cannon, you can get many more shots with Absolute Advantage before having to reload.
- Alternative:
- Luck Cannon
- Pepperbox
- Best Parts:
- Jakobs Grip
- Damage prefix (Dastardly)
- Punisher (Critical) or Piercing Rounds (Shield Bypass) Luneshine
- Sponsored By:
- Dahl/Jakobs/Hyperion
- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop
##Shooterang
Â
Although possessing a unique reload, this is best used in traditional fashion, aka shooting it. The high base damage, paired with good stats and some fire rate boosts, make this quite powerful. Will also do not need AA to make this work.
- Best Parts:
- Jakobs / Tediore Grip
- Double prefix (Two for one) or Damage prefix (Super)
- Punisher (Critical) or Piercing Rounds (Shield Bypass) Luneshine
- Sponsored By:
- Vladof/Jakobs/Maliwan
- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop
##Repeater
Â
A Dahl pistol with a Dahl barrel. While it would not seem like much, this is truly phenomenal. The overload glitch does not affect the fire rate, and thanks to Marginal Benefit, Absolute Advantage, and Just Compensation, we can have a huge mag and restore it to full without actually reloading. Not the best option if you have to swap weapons often, but a great gun nonetheless. Also no big deal if you do not have Absolute Advantage.
- Best Parts:
- Dahl Grip
- Double prefix (Twin) or Damage prefix (Neutralizing)
- Error Code O4L4M0A0
- Sponsored By:
- Jakobs/Scav/Torgue/Maliwan
- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop/Glitch chest
#Shotguns
- Shotgun parts guide
- The Hyperion stock is the best, except for Hyperion Shotguns, where Torgue is just as good.
##Flayer
Having a larger magazine than its purple equivalents, or any Jakobs shotgun for that matter, the Flayer also has two additional projectiles, making it very powerful. Its decent accuracy can be tightened with Celestial Doppelganger, Sponsored By, or Company Man, which will make most, if not all, pellets hit a critical spot, dealing impressive damage. The Quad can still outdamage the Flayer, but only if you use Absolute Advantage to negate the Quad’s low mag and high ammo consumption.

##Quad
Jakobs shotguns suffer from a low magazine, and increased ammo consumption, but Absolute Advantage negates those completely. The Quad can have glitch effects, and with Absolute Advantage will outdamage the Flayer.

##Development
Hyperion shotguns with the Torgue barrel. Essentially elemental quads, with normal critical and reverse recoil. Typically used by Athena, these monsters can be very effective thanks to their good stats and increase projectile count, but come with increased ammo consumption. Thankfully, Absolute Advantage is here to save the day. Much like quads, get these with the Loop glitch, get AA going, and you’ll be sending a ton of pellets down the road. Just Compensation and Sponsored By can increase their magazine size to extend the use of the glitch, and Marginal Benefit can restore the mag to 100% bypassing the reload, and therefore maintaining the glitch for further use. Melee to interrupt the Loop glitch. Company Man, Sponsored By, Celestial Doppelganger, and Precision Strike can massively improve their accuracy, making them very effective in combat, as long as Absolute Advantage is active. If not, switch to a Thinking/Bullpup.

##Flakker
Increased Damage. Consumes 4 Ammo per shot. Projectiles split into several “flak” explosions that occupy a fixed area. Does extremely well against large targets, such as Felicity or Iwajira. Even though it does not benefit from grenade damage bonuses, and cannot crit, it is still one of the highest damaging weapons in the game, and its low mag and high ammo consumption can be mitigated with AA, and Just Compensation, and Marginal Benefit can take care of the slow reload speed. Requires optimal distance to be effective.

- Grinder/World Drop
##Thinking
Glitch Hyperion shotguns with the Hyperion barrel. Although ammo efficiency is not a big concern, these do consume one bullet per shot, and have decent stats. The pellet count is low, compared to Hyperion shotguns with other manufacturer barrels, but these can still be effective, and Absolute Advantage will not be active forever. If you get a glitch effect on, these outdamage the Bullpup.
- Best Parts:
- Jakobs / Hyperion Grip
- Pellet count prefix (Enforceable)
- Error Code O0L4M0A4
- Sponsored By:
- Vladof/Jakobs/Scav/Maliwan
- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop/Glitch chest
##Moonface
splash damage
Fires in a smiley pattern, with +50% explosive splash damage. The spread can be tightened with accuracy boosts, and the magazine can be fixed with Absolute Advantage.
- Best Parts:
- Jakobs Grip
- Pellet count prefix (Rustler’s) or Critical prefix (Doc’s)
- Sponsored By:
- Jakobs/Maliwan
- Obtaining:
- Reward for sidequest “Red, then dead”, in Lunar Launching Station.
#Lasers
- Laser parts guide
- Note that the two items that grant additional laser damage, Eddie and Bulwark, are manufactured by Hyperion.
- For Hyperion lasers, the Hyperion stock is the best, because it increases their critical damage by 10%.
- The Dahl stock is the best for all other lasers, with Hyperion stock being the second best.
##Laser Disker
Although unable to crit, this is one of the most damaging weapon in the game, and a great choice for attaining a Second Wind. Reload damage is boosted by Best Man and Just Compensation, which will also increase its magazine. Sponsored By with Scav will also increase the magazine, allowing you to one shot badasses and some bosses. Reloads come with a tesla effect, just for icing on the cake. The projectile itself deals respectable damage, and deals double damage on airborne targets. You can also add cryo to it to be able to freeze and reload without swapping. Or just spec into High Frequency Trading, for higher swap speed. Jack also has many fire rate buffs to compensate for the default low fire rate.
- Best Parts:
- Tediore Grip
- Sponsored By:
- Scav for reloads/Vladof/Jakobs/Maliwan (cryo) for shooting
- Obtaining:
- Shadowtrap, in the Cortex. Grinder/World Drop/Glitch chest
##Absolute Zero
Maliwan Cryo beam laser with a very high elemental effect chance coupled with a 218% Continuous Damage Bonus coming off a base damage that is almost double that of the Thorny Ol’ Rosie. Has a Magazine Size of only 12, but AA, and Just Compensation can fix that. On top of that, the Recoil is much more manageable compared to any other Maliwan Beam Laser, making this a great choice for hip firing. It suffers from the decreased beam range, so it might not be the best choice for freezing enemies at a distance. Go with an Excalibastard or Cryo Mining Laser for freezing at longer ranges.
- Alternative:
- Excalibastard
- Thornie Ol’ Rosie
- Best Parts:
- Maliwan Grip
- Sponsored By:
- Vladof/Torgue/Jakobs/Scav/Dahl
- Obtaining:
- Drops from EOS in Deck 13.5. Grinder/World Drop/Glitch chest
##Longest Yard
 Â
Hyperion item. The most powerful railgun in the game, with extra critical damage, and perfect accuracy. Makes for an excellent alternative to Hyperion sniper rifles, since we do not have many of those. It is also a Hyperion laser, and the two items that provide laser damage are also Hyperion. Throw in a Projection class mod, and you have a pin-point accurate crit monster.
- Alternative:
- Excalibastard for cryo
- Mining Laser
- Best Parts:
- Hyperion / Maliwan Grip
- Sponsored By:
- Vladof/Jakobs/Scav/Torgue
- Obtaining:
- Drops fro Teh Earworm, in Cluster 99002 0V3RL00K. Grinder/World drop.
##Mining Laser
Â
Hyperion item. Very high damage, critical hit damage, and elemental effect chance. Fires three target-penetrating projectiles in a tight triangular pattern at the cost of 7 Ammo per shot. Also an amazing freeze tool when in Cryo. AA can negate the increased ammo consumption, and Company Man can tighten the spread. Can replace Fridgia/Absolute Zero for freezing at medium-long range. Maybe even the Excalibastard, if your target is too hard to crit.
- Alternative:

- Sponsored By:

##Splitters
 Â
Splitters use the Tediore barrel and are essentially laser shotguns, firing three beams at once. Maliwan splitters come with continuous damage bonus and are fairly accurate, Hyperion with +50% critical damage (another 10% with the Hyperion stock), and gain accuracy the longer they are fired. Tediore splitters will fire six projectiles, and will also explode when thrown, creating a tesla effect. Marginal Benefit can restore the mag to 100% while maintaining the glitch effect. All splitters are equally good, it ultimately depends on whether you are using the Projection class mod for Hyperion weapons and Company Man.

##Thorny Ol’ Rosie
 Â
Very high Continuous Damage Bonus. Suffers from insane Recoil and low base Damage. Celestial Doppelganger can negate the insane recoil, and there are many damage buffs to secure its place in the Top Gear.

#Sniper Rifles
- Sniper rifle parts guide
- The Dahl stock is the best, with Hyperion being the second best.
##Droog
Vladof sniper rifles with the Vladof barrel. They have the highest magazine sizes and fire rates among sniper rifles. AA will help keep the ammo consumption in check, and Celestial Doppelganger can grant reverse recoil.

##Pitchfork
 Â
Fires 5 horizontal shots in a line, shaped in a “V” pattern. Consumes 2 Ammo per shot. This weapon performs amazingly against bosses, hitting several bullets on their generally larger Critical Hit Spots with each trigger pull. AA will also negate its heavy ammo consumption.
- Best Parts:
- Dahl Grip
- Damage prefix (Pacifying) / Critical prefix (Night)
- Punisher (Critical) or Piercing Rounds (Shield Bypass) Luneshine
- Sponsored By:
- Jakobs/Scav/Maliwan
- Obtaining:

##Skullmasher
Fires a group of six Reduced-Damage pellets at the cost of one Ammo. Its low accuracy can be massively increased with Company Man, Believe, and Sponsored By.
- Alternative:
- Muckamuck
- Best Parts:
- Jakobs Grip
- Damage prefix (Skookum) - Critical prefix (Tumtum)
- Piercing Rounds (Shield Bypass) or Punisher (Critical) Luneshine
- Sponsored By:

- Obtaining:
- Drops from Nel in Regolith Range
- Grinder/World Drop
##Muckamuck
Jakobs sniper rifle with the Jakobs barrel. Apart from spawning with no element, this has few, if any downsides. Its damage is very high, it is very accurate, has a high magazine size and fire rate, and it even comes with multiplicative critical damage. Its reload speed is not that terrible either. The Overload glitch on this makes it extremely effective. And there are no major drawbacks like on other sniper rifles (increased ammo consumption, low accuracy, low mag) to worry about. No gimmicks. No quirks. Aim, shoot, kill. Few enemies can take an overloaded critical shot and live.
With this, a Rerouter, the Entrepreneur class mod, 3DD1.E (and possibly Hero Pose), the Overload glitch, and Marginal Benefit to bypass reloads, you can become a one-shot one-kill sniper, with unlimited Overload duration, and amp damage on every shot. Truly the best pure sniper rifle in the game.
- Alternative:

- Muckamuck
- Best Parts:

- Damage prefix (Skookum) / Critical accessory (Tumtum)
- Error Code O4L4M0A0

- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop/Glitch chest
##The Machine
 Â
Increased magazine size and fire rate. Sustained fire increases damage and fire rate. This will decimate even the toughest enemies. Its weakness of chewing through your ammo is countered by Absolute Advantage. It is suggested that you pair this with class mods that increase AA as much as possible.
Just Compensation and Sponsored By can increase magazine size to take advantage of its continuous damage bonus. Sponsored By can also provide some recoil reduction, to help minimize missed hits that could interrupt the continuous damage bonus.
It is not farmable, which makes it difficult to obtain variants of multiple elements and good parts. Still, it performs very well and is definitely Top Gear material. Get one while you can.

#Assault Rifles

- The Dahl stock is the best, with Hyperion being the second best.
##Minigun
Â
Dahl assault rifles with the Vladof minigun barrel. With all-around good stats, and burst fire while aiming down sights, these can fire a lot of rounds very quickly. Note that the Multishot and Overload glitches do not affect the fire rate on these, allowing for massive DPS. Just Compensation and Sponsored By can increase the magazine, and Marginal Benefit can bypass the reload and restore the mag to full, to take advantage of the glitch effect you have.

##Gatling Gun
Jakobs AR with the Vladof “spinigun” barrel. Fires 3 bullets at the cost of 3 Ammo per shot. High Damage coupled with a nice Type B Critical bonus make it a well rounded AR. It is much more powerful than the HummerBuster II, and its low magazine-high ammo consumption can be negated by AA, while its recoil can be fixed with Celestial Doppelganger, or Sponsored By.

##Hail
Â
Good stats, with a high fire rate, 150% critical hit bonus, 80% splash damage, and 2.5% lifesteal make the Hail an attractive rifle. Its projectiles travel in an arc and split in two, so you do have to practice with it a bit, but it is very effective and worth the effort.
- Best Parts:
- Vladof Grip
- Damage prefix (Ferocious)
- Sponsored By:
- Jakobs/Scav/Maliwan
- Obtaining:
- Iwajira, in Serenity’s Waste
##Torgue Rifle
Torgue rifles with the standard Vladof barrel. These do not require spin-up time like the ones with the rotating barrel. They have +90% splash damage, which is also nice. Thanks to the explosive multiplier on frozen enemies, this performs best in conjunction with a freeze gun. Or just a cryo sponsorship of Maliwan. As with all glitch rarity weapons, Marginal Benefit can restore the magazine bypassing the roload, retaining the glitch effect.
- Best Parts:
- Jakobs / Torgue Grip
- Bullet speed prefix (Slippery) / Fire rate (Wild)
- Error Code O0L4M0A4
- Sponsored By:
- Jakobs/Vladof/Maliwan
- Obtaining:

##SMGs
- SMG parts guide
- The Dahl stock is the best, with Hyperion being the second best.
##Fridgia
Always Cryo. Very high Elemental Effect Chance. No Recoil, extremely high Burst Fire Count. Fires 2 bullets at the cost of 1 Ammo in a fixed pattern of the Lascaux cave paintings. Great as a freeze tool, for crowd control and setting up Crits. Company Man can tighten the spread. It might not be the best choice for freezing at a distance though. Go with an Excalibastard or Cryo Mining Laser for longer ranges.

##Meat Grinder
 Â
Wow. Athough seemingly underwhelming, some key skills make its disadvantages redundant. Double ammo consumption, slow reload, low accuracy, these do not matter for Jack. Three projectiles and improved accuracy make this phenomenal. Increase the fire rate with a couple skills, and you’re looking at a bullet hose that is not limited to short range.
- Best Parts:
- Scav Grip
- Bullet speed prefix (Kwikner) / Damage prefix (True-Blue)
- Sponsored By:
- Jakobs/Hyperion/Dahl/Torgue
- Obtaining:
- Drops from Meat Head, in Triton Flats.
##Fast Talker
 Â
An excellent SMG with massive fire rate, and surprisingly good stats for a Scav weapon. This thing surpasses the Torrent for DPS, and can come with a scope. It also has very low recoil, and it will become pin-point accurate with Company Man, or Sponsored By.
- Alternative:

##Torrent
 Â
Increased Damage, Magazine Size, Fire Rate, and Burst Count. Extremely low Recoil when hip-fired. No Movement Speed penalty while aiming down the sights. Also has VERY fast Fire Rate when using Burst Fire. Sponsored By can add another element to it, to take advantage of its high fire rate. Company Man can improve the accuracy, to take advantage of its non-existent recoil.

##Cheat Code (/ Fatale)
 Â
( for Fatale)
Hyperion items. High accuracy and increased critical damage (75% type A). The Cheat Code features reduced ammo consumption while in FFYL. AA and Just Compensation can improve its small magazine size. The Fatale is basically the same weapon, available in cryo only, without the FFYL effect, but with a large magazine.
- Best Parts:
- Scav or Maliwan Grip
- Bullet Speed (Promotional/Proactive) or Damage prefix (All-In/Rightsizing)
- Sponsored By:
- Vladof/Jakobs/Scav
- Obtaining:
- Cheat Code: Mission Reward from “System Shutdown”
- Fatale: Drops from Drongo Bones/Grinder/World drop
##IVF
(= reloads)
Upon reloading, the weapon is thrown, it explodes, and released two smaller copies of itself which deal 80% of the base damage. Although perfectly viable as a typical SMG, this is used for reload throws. Best Man increases grenade damage, Just Compensation increases its reload damage and magazine, and Sponsored By can increase the mag even further, to the point of one-shotting any non-badass enemy, and some badasses as well. Take care where you throw the thing, because its child SMGs can kill you if they explode near you.
- Best Parts:
- Scav / Tediore Grip
- Reload speed prefix (Refill) / Damage prefix (Hefty)
- Boominator (Grenade Damage) Luneshine
- Sponsored By:
- Scav for reloads/Vladof-Jakobs for shooting
- Obtaining:

#Rocket Launchers
- Rocket Launcher parts guide
- Rocket launchers are not boosted by grenade damage bonuses.
##Kaneda’s Laser
The only launcher able to crit, with impressive stats to match, Kaneda’s Laser is capable of very high damage output. Its magazine size is increased, so do not reload this prematurely, or you will run out of ammo very quickly. It only comes in explosive, so a critical hit on a frozen enemy will be devastating. It is also very accurate, allowing for long range hits. Use the Excalibastard or Mining Laser to freeze at long range.
- Best Parts:
- Torgue Grip
- Torgue exhaust
- No prefixes show up in the item card. Search for the Damage accessory (consult the parts guide).
- Sponsored By:

##Badaboom
 Â
Increased projectile count (6) and high magazine. Comes in all elements, has high damage and its spread is not terrible either. Marginal Benefits can negate the slow reload.
- Best Parts:

##Nukem
Shoots a rocket that goes in a short arc. Massive damage. Great for second winds or just killing groups of enemies. Absolute Advantage has a lower chance for a free shot for launchers, but it still helps. Just Compensation and Sponsored By can increase the magazine, and Marginal Benefits can negate the abysmal reload speed.
- Best Parts:
- Torgue Grip

##Duurp
Torgue launchers with the Torgue barrel. These are some of the highest damaging weapons in the game. Even more so with the overload or the loop glitch. Which can last longer with Marginal Benefits.
- Best Parts:
- Torgue Grip
- Torgue or Maliwan Exhaust
- Maliwan or Tediore Sight
- Damage prefix (derp) / Fire rate prefix (dum pa)

#Grenade Mods
- Assume the preferred Fuse Time for all Grenades to be 0.0s, and the preferred Delivery method to be Longbow.
- If you are using On My Mark, go with Lobbed instead.
- Tediore reload damage is also considered grenade damage.
- Grenade damage is boosted by Best Man class mod.
- Grenade damage is boosted by Just Compensation (more damage for every grenade missing from ammo pool). It is found on Best Man, Eridian Vanquisher, and Celestial Doppelganger.
- Jack’s Cache grants a free grenade for four kills. Grenade mods able to kill multiple enemies with a single grenade have great synergy with this.
- On My Mark gives Digi-Jacks a copy of your grenade mod. Press “action skill” to have them throw. Once per action skill activation. Does not work quite as good with longbow grenades.
##Bonus Package
After the Grenade’s initial explosion, it releases several child Grenades, that release even more child Grenades.
- Obtaining:
- Tork dreggers
- Grinder/World Drop
##Fire Bee
Always Fire. It generates a fire sprinkler, which also spawns homing incendiary spikes. It has a long duration and can decimate flesh targets.
- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop
##Stormfront
Always Shock. Creates a tesla, which spawns four child teslas, like a MIRV grenade. Long duration, covers a huge area, and can both strip shields and kill.
- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop
##Quasar
- Hyperion item.
- Has the largest singularity pull radius in the game. You can pull enemies into gaps or throw them out off the map.
- It also creates a tesla, which can strip shields, and is the only sticky tesla in the game. It can kill enemies that are glitched in a wall, or under the floor.
- It can also destroy all of Janey’s security cameras at once.
- Obtaining:
- Felicity Rampant
- Grinder/World Drop
##Nasty Surprise
 Â
Hyperion item. Functions kinda like a longbow MIRV, dropping child grenades on top of enemies (up to four), or all on one enemy if there are no others around. Decent damage, counts towards Company Man. It can be used as a freeze tool, if you do not want to use a weapon, and want to use a Hyperion grenade mod, since the Quasar comes only in shock.
- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop
##Data Scrubber
The Data Scrubber is basically a Transfusion grenade, but instead of Health, it restores Shields. It also regenerates Grenades over time. Nice choice if you do not want to invest into Winning. The grenade regeneration is useful, and can be used in conjunction with a Bomber Oz Kit, and Jack’s Cache, for grenade-focused builds.
- Obtaining:
- Mission Reward from “Chip’s Data Mining Adventure”, when turned in to Chip
#Shields
- Shield Parts Guide
- 3DD1.E increases shield capacity.
- It also occasionally restores 100% shield (and health) capacity.
- You Have My Shield gives a copy of your shield to your DigiJacks. Nova shields will release a nova every time a DigiJack despawns or is killed.
- Spec into Optimism to have the DigiJacks spawn with progressively less health, to get them to die instantly and thus release as many novas as possible.
- Hero Pose increases capacity, recharge rate, and reduces recharge delay. It is found on Paragon and Protagonist class mods.
- Winning restores a percentage of your shield upon kill. It is found on Antagonist, Entrepreneur, and Chronicler class mods.
- This has synergy with many shield categories:
- Amp and nova shields have to fully recharge to grant their bonus.
- Adaptive, absorb, spike, and booster shields need at least partial capacity to grant their bonus effect.
##Prismatic Bulwark
- Hyperion item.
- Grants laser damage, and the other item that does so is also Hyperion (3DD1.E).
- Grants laser absorb chance. There are many enemies with lasers in the game, and they are very accurate and powerful.
- Grants laser damage resistance, in case you don’t absorb it.
- Best Parts:
- Maliwan Body
- Maliwan Battery
- Hyperion Capacitor
- Obtaining:
- Drops from Zarpedon and the Sentinel
- World drop/Grinder
##Rerouter
Hyperion item. Massive amp damage. Converts amp drain into health.
Its amp drain is about 75% of its capacity, but with 3DD1.E, some BAR, and 10/5 in Winning, you can restore it to full with only one kill, taking full advantage of its high amp damage, and health restoration.
- Best Parts:
- Maliwan Body
- Maliwan Battery
- Maliwan Capacitor
- Obtaining:
- Drops from Shadowtrap, in The Cortex.
- World drop/Grinder
##Shield of Ages
Hyperion item. Essentially a Hyperion turtle shield. It has the highest capacity in the game, and low health penalty. With 5/5 in Winning, you can get around 55k capacity for every kill. That’s about what your second best shield has total. With 10/5 in Winning, you’re looking at more than 100k for every kill. Add to that BAR, 3DD1.E’s bonus, and Hero Pose, and you have a massive boost to survival. It comes with fixed parts, and is a quest reward, so no farming or dashboarding is required.
- Best Parts:
- Fixed Parts
- Obtaining:
- Mission Reward from “The Temple of Boom”, when turned in to Gladstone.
##Adaptive Shield / Reogenator / MORQ / Haymaker
Anshin shields provide elemental resistance, more max health, and have overall decent stats. Reogenator and MORQ also grant some health regeneration. MORQ comes with a voice modulator sounding like Robin Williams. The Haymaker stores the element that damaged you last, and adds it to your melee attack.
The elemental resistance is useful for boss fights, and the max health is welcome too, but other than that, Jack has many shields to choose from, and some combinations are better suited that Anshin shields. Still, they are useful and have decent stats, and the elemental resistance only works when you have some capacity, so Winning can make these work out quite well.
- Best Parts:
- Maliwan Body
- Maliwan Battery
- Hyperion Capacitor
- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World drop.
- MORQ: Once per character, in a box in Motherlesboard.
- Haymaker: Reward for the Shock Drop Slaughter Dome
#Nova Shields
- You Have My Shield gives a copy of your shield to your DigiJacks. Nova shields will release a nova every time a DigiJack despawns or is killed.
- Spec into Optimism to have the DigiJacks spawn with progressively less health, to get them to die instantly and thus release as many novas as possible.
##Avalanche
Grants roid, spike, and nova damage. Investing in You Have My Shield will give this to your DigiJacks, and when the are killed, they will release a cryo nova. When it’s depleted, you will have the highest roid damage out of all roid shields in the game, which works quite well with the enemies that froze with the novas.
- Best Parts:
- Maliwan Body
- Maliwan Battery
- Maliwan Capacitor
- Obtaining:
- World drop/Grinder
##Black Hole
Shock only. Creates singularity pull before nova. Same deal with the Avalanche and nova shields in general. Invest in YHMS, and your Digijacks will release novas each time they despawn or are killed. They will also create singularities before every nova, stunning enemies, and throwing them around.
- Best Parts:
- Maliwan Body
- Maliwan Battery
- Maliwan Capacitor
- Obtaining:
- The invincible Sentinel
- World drop/Grinder
##Supernova
Â
Incendiary only. Largest nova radius in the game, combined with high nova damage. Exploding/dying DigiJacks with release novas with larger radius, hitting more enemies than a different shield would.
- Best Parts:
- Maliwan Body
- Maliwan Battery
- Maliwan Capacitor
- Obtaining:
- Bruce, in Crisis Scar
- World drop/Grinder
##Deadly Bloom
Explosive only. Glitched rarity. This is actually Legendary and can be acquired as one. Releases a nova both when health and shield are depleted. Exploding/dying DigiJacks with release two novas. With a cryo weapon in your hands, you can really wreak havok with this shield.
- Best Parts:
- Maliwan Body
- Maliwan Battery
- Torgue Capacitor
- Obtaining:
- World drop/Grinder
##Nova shield
Even common nova shields can be used very effectively. Thanks to the extra novas from DigiJacks, you will be able to spam the area with novas, stunning enemies, applying elements, and generally killing baddies. Spec into Optimism to have the DigiJacks spawn with progressively less health, to get them to die instantly and thus release as many novas as possible.
- Best Parts:
- Maliwan Body
- Maliwan Battery
- Maliwan Capacitor (Torgue for explosive)
- Obtaining:
- World drop/Grinder
#Class Mods
- Jack’s skill tree calculator
- Jack’s skill guide
- Jack’s Class Mods
- Note that almost all of Jack’s class mods are made by Hyperion, counting towards Company Man.
- The percentage bonuses are the maximum value at level 70.
- Kill skills (and semi-kill skills, like Best Foot Forward and Jack’s Cache) can be activated by investing in Leadership. Dying Digi-Jacks will be treated as killed enemies.
##Chronicler of Elpis
+49% Freeze Chance
+49% Cryo Damage
+14895 Shield Capacity
+4 Lean on me / Persistance / Optimism / Wining / Company Man
The best class mod for cryo gear set-ups. The skill distribution lets you take advantage of cryo, and its synergy with criticals and explosions. Check Comrade Jack for more information.
- Obtaining:
- Holodome (Guaranteed in Round 3)
- Grinder
- Gameplay footage:
- @Derch 's Comrade Jack the Frozen Communist
##Celestial Doppelganger
+49% Critical hit damage
+43% Elemental effect damage
+5 Best Foot Forward / Just Compensation / Teamwork / Collaborate / Incentives / Marginal Benefit
Reverse recoil on all weapons.
Great all-round COM with equal boosts to offense and defense, boosting a plethora of skills: Action Skill duration, Health regeneration, Grenade damage, mag size, damage, DOT damage, crit damage, fire rate. The reverse recoil also helps with Scav, Vladof, and Jakobs weapons, shotguns, and Maliwan beams.
- Obtaining:
- Drops from Empyrean Sentinel in Eleseer
- Grinder/World Drop
##CEO
+24% Team Critical Damage
+31% Team Accuracy
Marginal Benefit / Absolute Advantage / Synergy
Arguably Jack’s best class mod. With Absolute Advantage up to 11/5, you can turn any weapon into a monster. Increased ammo consumption and low mag size become a thing of the past. It works well with everything (reduced chance on launchers), but has unparalleled synergy with Jakobs weapons, like shotguns, the Luck Cannon, Maggie, and revolvers in general.
-
Best Parts:
of all CEOs (+6 AA, +5 Synergy) Suffix -
Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop.
- Gameplay footage:
- @Zhabalabada’s The Cutthroat CEO
##Projection
+49% Hyperion weapon damage
+49% Slam damage
Company Man / Best Foot Forward / Absolute Advantage
Another favorite, this mod’s skill selection is phenomenal. Absolute Advantage for free shots, Best Foot Forward for Action Skill duration, and Company Man for massive accuracy and critical damage. All on top of a very high damage boost for Hyperion weapons. Non-Hyperion weapons lose out on the raw damage boost, but can still benefit from the three skills. And having that increased accuracy is nice, because a large spread on a shotgun is a DPC loss. 10/5 or 11/5 n Company Man can fix any spread.
Note that some Hyperion weapons will deal more damage with the CEO class mod, despite this giving Hyperion damage (this depends on your build- for best results and no misinformation, try your preferred weapons with both class mods, if you have them). Still, having Company Man at 11/5 and 10/5 Absolute Advantage is quite a sight to behold, and this class mod is here to stay.
- Best Parts:
- Anything that includes Absolute Advantage.
- Obtaining:
- Holodome (Guaranteed in Round 4)
- Gameplay footage:
- @Joltzdude139 's Jack Nicholson
##Best Man
+53% Grenade damage
Just Compensation / Lean On Me / Marginal Benefit
The best class mod for grenade-oriented build, as well as Tediore reload builds. Maliwan splash damage and Torgue splash damage (for no-unique weapons) is also considered grenade damage, but there are other class mods for those.
- Best Parts:
- The (+6 Just Compensation, +5 Lean On Me/+5 Marginal Benefit) Prefix
- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop
##Entrepreneur
+33% Reload speed
+43% Shield recharge rate
Synergy / Believe / Winning
The skill selection provides high damage, and high survivability. A Shield of Ages will receive over 100k capacity restored for every kill. With 5/5 Winning, The Rerouter can also restore its amp drain with a single kill, allowing you to use the amp damage constantly (you will need the shield capacity bonus of 3DD1.E and some BAR to raise the shield’s capacity high enough).
- Best Parts:
- Praiseworthy (+5 Synergy, +4 Believe, +4 Winning) Prefix
- Super (+5 Winning, +4 Believe, +4 Synergy) Prefix for OSOK Rerouter amp damage
- Praiseworthy (+6 Synergy, +5 Believe) Prefix
- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop
#Oz Kits
##3DD1.E
- Hyperion item.
- Provides laser damage. The other item that does so is also Hyperion (Bulwark).
- Chance to drop care packages upon kill. Note that Leadership does not activate these.
- Money: Excellent, for building Money Is Power stacks. Money drop value does not scale with your level.
- Health & ammo: free health and ammo is always nice.
- Chance to restore health and shields to 100% capacity. Extreme survivability boost.
- Provides shield capacity. Great synergy with Winning, to restore as much capacity as possible upon kill.
- This bonus capacity is required to restore Rerouter’s high amp drain with one kill. You will need 10/5 Winning, and either some BAR or Hero Pose.
- Obtaining:
- Drops from CL4P-L3K in Veins of Helios. If left alone during the mission “Eradicate!”, you can come back later to farm it.
- Grinder/World Drop
##Support Relay
 Â
Hyperion item. Provides weapon damage, depending on your amount of O2 units. Though seemingly lower than the Tranquility, Support Relay is made by Hyperion, and will count towards Company Man, therefore granting a higher total damage bonus than the Tranquility. If you do not invest in Company Man, go with Tranquility.
Also reduces O2 consumption rate by 20% each for every equipped Support Relay in the party.
- Obtaining:
- Reward for sidequest To Arms, in Triton Flats.
##Bomber
 Â
Grants grenade damage and a chance to throw a free grenade when airborne.
Grenade damage boosts Tediore reload damage, Torgue splash damage (not on Flakker and RL), and Maliwan splash damage (not on RL).
A good companion for Best Man.
- Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop
##Tranquility
 Â
Increases your weapon damage based on how much oxygen you have. Its damage bonus is higher than the Support Relay, but it is not made by Hyperion. If you are investing in Company Man, Support Relay is better.
-
Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop
##Precision Strike
 Â
Hyperion item. Increases Accuracy and Critical Damage while Airborne. Especially useful when using guns with low Accuracy (like Shotguns with double or bigger barrels, Splitters and so forth) as it’s when the boost in Accuracy is the most noticeable. The Crit Damage bonus is also a big help in increasing DPS.
-
Obtaining:
- Grinder/World Drop
##Systems Purge
 Â
This Oz Kit uses some of your Oxygen in order to deal a non-elemental nova on hit that can shatter air masks. Also replenishes Oxygen on kill. All in all, it’s a fairly consistent boost to DPS, especially in Atmosphere. It has little, if any synergy with Jack, but it is just too good to be left out. If you are using the Quasar or singularity grenade mods, or even the Black Hole shield with your DigiJacks, you can pull enemies together to get as many as possible in the radius of the Purge’s nova. Other than that, if you are not using Tediore reloads, or Company Man, and want some damage in an atmosphere, but do not have the Tranquility Oz Kit, then this is a good choice.
- Obtaining:
- Mission Reward from “Eradicate!”, when you destroy CL4P-L3K
