Odd Plothole thingy

OK, so…

Zarpedon fires the laser at the core of Elpis.

A huge circle appears when you arrive on Helios after you retake it. (that hole was NOT there the first time you arrived).

Eleseer, the Vault is in the core of Elpis. And the way to access it is through the core of Elpis.

But, the core is full of lava!

Yet, when you arrive, the core isn’t full of lava or anything. (core is Vorago Solitude).

Game logic.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding what you are saying, but i think that most of the core is hollowed out and filled with Eridian structures, and any lava you is just residual leftover lava that has been misplaced from the core?

No no no, I am talking about the exterior of the core.

You know that huge circle of lava you see on Helios? That’s Vorago Solitude.

But, when you reach the place, everything is fine and isn’t full of lava.

And yes, the core of Elpis is full of Eridian stuff.

Eleseer is the core of Elpis pretty much.

Ohh the circle of lava that the laser is firing into to expose the core. I gotcha.

And yet, when you get to Vorago, the access point to the core, there is a pumping station there with a sealed & pressurized entrance to the core, heavily defended by Eridians and Lost Legion.

So yeah shouldnt that have been the target point for the laser?

Why is the laser necessary if there is already an entrance?

There is certainly no sign of giant laser damage anywhere in Vorago Solitude.

Also, wouldnt Zarpadon be killing her own troops by firing the laser there?

Lastly, if that circle of lava area ISN’T Vorago - where is it?

Zarpedon fired the laser to destroy the vault. Not to expose it. She already entered it and saw what’s inside. She wants to destroy it though.

Right.

So the issue here is why isn’t Vorago Solitude a huge melted fiery pit?

Yeah.

That’s actually kind of a huge one!

I didn’t think the Virago Solitude was where the laser was hitting, but rather the area behind the methane pumping station. It seems to be the place that shakes the most when the laser hits, plus all the weird “lava” eruptions all over the “lakes”.

Wasn’t she trying to destroy the entire moon?

She was trying to destroy the vault, but in order to destroy it, she had to destroy the moon.

So perhaps she wasn’t hitting the vault area at all, instead hitting another part of the moon?

Possible. Or an area close to the core.

'cause the entrance to the vault didnt matter, she thought that the moon would be destroyed before they even found out where it was
