I understand that there are bigger issues, such as people losing their saves or banks being completely wiped, but skippable cutscenes shouldn’t take much effort and would be a HUGE Quality of Life addition.
I’m playing through the campaign on my 3rd character, and my friends haven’t even started playing yet! Powering through the campaign the second and all subsequent runs is suuuuch a schlep. Please make this one addition soon.

Pretty much sums it up. I enjoy the cutscenes. Once, maybe twice if I missed something… but having to slog through them for each and every new character got real old, real fast. Can’t even skip the splash screens for crying out loud.
Any workaround for PS4 (besides asking for a refund and boycotting gearbox)?
I think you’re overreacting just slightly.
When i played BL2 i swore this was the most anoying thing, if i had known that in the year 2019, gearbox STILL REFUSES TO GIVE US SKIPPABLE CUTSCENES then oh boy oh boy!
Everyone who is not anoyed by that only plays the story ONES or max twice. I am playing with my second character and i cant bear watching them again even now. Just imagin the second, third difficulty with the fourth character…WE HAVE THE YEAR 2019 FOR GODS SAKE GEARBOX!! SKIPPABLE CUTSCENES HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR DECADES!!
First of all, i love BL3, i took the week of from work just to play. But boy oh boy, the most anoying thing in BL2 was when you play the game with all characters on many difficulty settings and not be able to skip the cutscenes. The Intro Scene and Ingame Cutscenes. I thought, now in the year 2019, it must be standard, but NOOOOOOOOOO!
Really Gearbox? I mean really? I have to deal with many bugs at the moment, i can’t bear to WATCH EVERY CUTSCENE OVER AND OVER AGAIN, i almost got mad in BL2 seeing a certain Person die over and over and over and over again…please, please change that, please. I beg you, in the year 2019 this should be absolutely a norm.
Don’t make this absolutely adorable game annoying by this huge flaw, please!

Yeah this is really irritating 
Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate the hard work the devs put into it, but this is gonna get really old REALLY fast. I got one character to 10 and wanna see how another handles and I can’t skip the cutscenes. Please tell me they plan to add this pretty dang soon. I don’t really wanna leave the game running for nigh ten minutes each time I start a new playthrough.
Love the song. Love the art. Can appreciate the cinematography… but I skipping would be a fantastic quality of life thing to add given that QoL seems to have been a major part of the development of the game.
I second this motion. Most of us aren’t at the point where we want to skip the cutscenes, but we will be at some point in the future. Having the option is nice. Unskippable cutscenes are one of the cardinal sins of gaming, and it’s one of the easiest quality of life fixes to implement.
I too appreciate the work and artistry that goes in to making a good cut scene but once or twice is enough. I would like a skip button 
I’d love to see that, but I have no high hopes. Unskippable cutscenes are a bad design flaw in any game, yet developers keep doing it for whatever reason, they seem to be content with it. Gearbox never fixed it in BL2, they never fixed it in TPS, and if they’re doing the same again now I doubt this will ever happen.
100% agree! They should allow us to just skip the whole intro and put us to where you can start shooting ■■■■.
I agree. I watched the cinematics all the way through the first time and enjoyed them! But give us the option of skipping them. Just the option, even if it’s only skippable after viewing the whole thing once
I feel for the players whose games were crashing constantly, too. I’ve seen comments from people saying that they had to sit through the intro 7 times before they could even play…
Yeah I was really hoping they’d add this. Even games like MHW and Overwatch you can skip the cutscenes. I was hoping in multiplayer you could vote to skip like in OVW or Saints Row 4.
I discovered that you can at least hit F1 during the cut scenes and browse your in-game mail, shift rewards, or friend profiles. If you hit escape from the social menu, you can also go into options to adjust graphics and controls … all while the cut scene continues to play.
Sadly, that only works on PC. the other 2/3 of the platforms the game is on are stuck either watching or doing something else for a few minutes… like writing a response on the forums… like I am literally doing right now.
is the lilith losing powers unskippable as well? sheesh.
