BL1 had its Reaper, Pearls and Rare Eridian Weapons.
TPS had - unm, i actually can’t think of anything the Grinder can’t provide you with.
What’s the uber rare stuff in BL2?
I have (sadly) had most of my rare BL2 gear given to me by kind souls online, not much personal grinding (planning on changing that soon).
I know the Cobra is incredibly hard to find.
What else?
Yeah, Cobra is pretty much non-existent as far as drop rates.
Going off my own grinding and the list of “What legendary have you never found” post:
Cobra is the rarest item in all 3 games.
There are many more. But Legendaries have a very low drop in BL 2. It improves in TPS. Legendaries are truly legendaries in BL 2. Very very very very rare.
Still have NEVER EVEN SEEN VERMI.
I remember grinding Hides of Terra shields for my Krieg with a buddy, that definitely took a while.
But yeah, BL2 definitely seems to be the rarest for Legendaries.
I remember in my BL2 days i had essentially given up on Legendaries (aside from having them dropped to me) since they would essentially never drop for me.
I remember back around new year 2014, i was battling through Opportunity with 3 friends, and a Super Badass war loader dropped a Veruc, one of my favourite ARs.
I was soooo excited!
But, then, 2 minutes later, my f*****g system froze.
Veruc gone upon reload.
That made me put BL2 down and not pick it up again until a few months later after i had re-passed FO3 and all DLCs.
In BL1, Legendaries drop like candy, but GOOD ones are very few and far between.
Although, have they maybe increased BL2 drop rates in the last year?
Late last year, @ACNAero and i started (but never came close to finishing) a BL2 from-start coop playthrough, and by the time we hit level 20, we had found 5 legendaries.

How do you even get the Twister?
I only ever had one, a level 50, given to me by someone.
I broke the game with it using my Gaige and Sal.
I know it’s acquired somewhere in Hammerlock’s Hunt.
You have to get Witch Doctors to level up Badass es and hopefully one turns into Ohmd-Ohmd-Ohk. Then kill him and hope for a Twister.
I was doing this last week with my Gaige I’m leveling up and it’s a pain. I got him to spawn 4 times but no Twister so I gave up.
I think he meant the BL2 Cobra was the hardest weapon to find across all 3 games.
I still believe BL1 pearls / higher than green Eridians top the list.

I`m still searching for the Becka assult rifle and have no idea where it may turn up, although I did see a vid on youtube of a drop from a tubby skag. Anyone out there found one?
I generally find pearles in Caustic Caverns. (Enter, kill tubby Varkid, exit, repeat)

I`ll have another look up there as its been ages since my last visit of LLM farming. I guess this weapon will drop when I least expect it.
Cobra for sure. A bit harder for me was the Ogre because what you have to go through. but nonetheless persistence paid off. Then the not so hard but rare and often overlooked, the Weisenheimer, Backburner, Storm and Wellness smgs.
