Almighty Ordnance?

This is the third tier skill augment on the SNTNL in the Hitman tree - it gives you a one-time missile barrage from the SNTNL on a target area, and if the missiles kill something then the skill duration is supposed to be reset. Problem is, I tried and tried and despite seemingly confirming kills with Almighty Ordinance, the timer on SNTNL ran out as normal instead of restarting.

Can anyone confirm if this is skill is actually working as intended and I’m just bad at executing, or not? Would be really great if it were functional given Zane has a few buff skills tied to active Action Skills, resetting SNTNL’s healthy timer would be a boon.

I can’t get this to work either. Found your post trying to figure out if I was reading it wrong or if it’s busted. Seems to be busted to me.

EDIT: literally right after replying to you I got it to work for the first time despite the fact that I’ve been trying for 24hrs or so. I don’t know what I did different but I can confirm it does work sometimes. I was firing the missiles at an enemy other than the one SNTNL was currently aimed at. The cooldown didn’t immediately reset either, it took a few ticks. I’m even more confused now…

I tried for a couple days and was never able to get it to work. Now I’m gonna have to respec and try again after you saying it does work. I thought I was reading it wrong or something but guess it’s just a buggy skill right now?

Yeah I’m still not sure. Been messing with it to try and figure it out. I know it does work “sometimes” for sure. Right now I’m guessing it doesn’t work well with certain other skills. If DOT damage or the machine gun from SNTNL kills the enemy instead (or you do obviously) it doesn’t count. So the radiation or shield beam can really mess it up, or any elemental DOT you have applied. It’s unfortunate because it makes it do nothing a lot of the time. The enemy absolutely has to die from the rockets SNTNL fires out. Nothing else. I wish it counted if that enemy died from anything for like .5 seconds after the attack. That way it wouldn’t matter if the DOTs did it, as long as you killed the enemy at the same time as calling out the attack command, it’s all good.

Yeah when I was trying I had Almighty Ordance and the other modifier to add rockets plus machine guns. There was so many variables just caused by myself between my weapons, sentinel, digiclone and its augemtns. Not to mention I was playing with a buddy who was playing Moze with nukes. I’ll need to sit down and play alone this weekend and see what I cant come up with.

When you kill an enemy with AO, they ‘drop’ three mechanical looking items that fly thru the air toward you. Each of these restores a portion (I assume 33%) of the duration. Issue is, they don’t move super quickly. I’ve seen them en route and had SNTNL expire before they reach me. Definitely should just reset duration on kill, the same way Second Wind functions.

This is observed on XBoxOne, playing split-screen co-op; I haven’t gotten a great look at the duration buff items, but their behavior is very similar to the health ‘orb’ from transfusion grenades.

WTF? Very, very strange. So many of Zane’s skills are just inferior versions of other hunters’ talents.

MEH think I’m done w/ this game for now TBH. Nearing the end of the campaign w/ Zane, 30-hours playtime, and seeing how absurdly powerful the other 3 Hunters are compared to Zane just makes me wanna drop the game.

I like how he plays and hope he gets some love. Lvl 44 now so committed . I find it odd they nerfed some of his skills before launch and wonder what I am missing. There some crazy combination of skills and equipment I have not discovered that required the nerf? Some of the skills sound so good on paper but reality is they are not that great.

That’s interesting you can see it. I haven’t noticed but that would explain why it always seemed to happen way after the kill when it worked. Thanks for the info.

Yeah I really like Zane’s design, and the ability to pick up his shield and go ham with a shotty is fun as hell, but I have for sure been having a way harder time this playthrough than I did with my Fl4k. Tho I have been skipping side quests to streamline his progress since I did everything 100% with fl4k, so I assumed it was because I was under leveled. Even when I’m at the same level as the zone tho I seem to struggle. I know my build with him is trash right now.

I feel like the ordinance is pretty weak and should be a bit buffed up, I find myself having to really time it right to down someone with it and by time it fires the enemy dies already, hence wasted action skill.

I’ll have to keep an eye out for them then. And yeah agreed it should reset it immediately so at least we know it worked.

Thanks for the replies guys, I definitely never noticed any unusual pickups dropping after SNTNL killed something with the missile barrage. Either way seems like the skill mod isn’t a great option, so I’ve been running without it.
