The bank just isn't big enough tbh

Even fully upgraded, with the shear number of UNIQUE legendaries on offer in this game (nevermind the different elemental versions) there just isn’t enough space to collect this stuff. Quit being butholes and let me hoard my rightfully earned loot Gearbox :frowning: At least put this on Diablo level storage. I don’t have two copies of anything other than a few class mods and my bank is maxed SDU and my inventory is sitting at 3 empty slots with max SDU… and there are DOZENS of legendaries I haven’t even gotten on max level or even seen at all. Come on guys you tout a bazillion guns and let us store 80 of them? Doesn’t seem fair tbh

Isn’t the bank space increased if you have multiple characters?

Nope, bank space is shared through all characters. So if you max that out on your first character, the next character amd all others you play as will have max bank space as well.

Well, that sucks.

The ad hominems aside, I agree. There is a very lore friendly way to give you storage worthy of a loot centric game. Digi-structing and the opposite. I dislike inventory management, and this game and its predecessors saw fit to have it in droves.

The bosses drop more weapons than you can carry in a single inventory load, probably needs a tweak, or like I am saying (infinite digital space?? )

Infinite space is to much in my opinion. If you max out the bank and it is 80 items, thats 20 items per character you can save. Late game where you onow your loadouts and you know how, your gonna equipt each play style, that’s plenty. The problem is your trying to save things that arent useful.

I understand the technical side from GB. For you it is just 20 spaces more. But everything they add needs heavy testing. And BL3 is not optimised and does not run as good as we wish. So every addition can screw up the game. For them it is more than “just adding more space”
Give them time. I am certain that we will have updates on that

My understanding is that you have 40 slots in backpack and 40 slots in bank to share for all your characters. It’s 80 if you have only one char, but with two, three and more is worse than BL2/TPS.

pray you dont lost all of your bank, this just happen to me

I mean either way, 10 alots for a specific playsr layout is good. I’m not a hoarder tho. I’m the believer that in will find a good getup eventually, so I dont save equipment

I finally reached Sanctuary last night and this very point occured to me. It is a very strange design decision. Considering BL3 is putting an emphasis on end game, it seems bizarre not to give players somewhere to keep the gear they farm.

I’m not interested in end game. I like to start a new character and see how the build goes as I play the campaign. I suppose I collect characters rather than guns. Consequently, in both BL1 & BL2 I have around 30 characters. My backpack tends to be for a bare minimum of gear, leaving me room to pick up stuff to sell. In BL3, that would mean each character has less than one bank slot! So I couldn’t even have a couple of mods to swap in and out.

Already, in BL3, I have four characters on the go (1 solo, 3 co-op). I’ll certainly max out every character type solo, which is another three. I’m sure there’ll be more in the future. The bank is already looking useless.

As I said, I don’t farm legendaries but I do like to keep any interesting weapon that I find along the way to help a future character. In BL2, I built a number of “mules” to help out but this is no longer possible. Of course, you couldn’t do this in BL1 (without a trusted friend :slightly_smiling_face: ). However, why give us a “twinking” mechanic and make it pointless?

Considering how many QoL improvements have been incorporated into BL3, I would be very interested in understanding why this decision was made.

I agree at the moment, Im currently hoarding as many legendaries as I can, while we all figure out whats good and whats ■■■■, and besides that id like to have at least one of everything as a little collection anyway

That is exactly the same as Destiny. Yuck! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

This is one place where I think Destiny absolutely TROUNCES Borderlands. Destiny bank space is over 100 (just for weapons!), plus ANY Exotic (read Legendary) item (weapon, armor, etc) that you have EVER owned is available to be reconstructed whenever you want. There is a resource cost for doing so, but the BL Digistruct system is PERFECT for this. There should be NO REASON whatsoever that a character in BL can’t carry a portable digistruct module to digistruct legendaries on the fly and then a workbench or something in Sanctuary where any item that was fed into the portable system can be re-digistructed for some eridium and/or cash and/or 2-3 lower class items for materials, etc.

It is clearly within the lore of the BL universe to do so. If I can digistruct entire working VEHICLES, why can I not digistruct a freaking gun, for crying out loud?!

I hope the powers that be are reading this. This is absolutely a great idea and completely doable within the framework lore of the game. Well presented. Thank you. :+1:

You keep that Marie Kondo shazz to yourself. They need to Diablo 3 the storage. If I can have damn near 400 per character in Diablo I shouldn’t have an issue with a bank a quarter of that size here.

Diablo is a different game and a different company. Plus that much storage is just ridiculous. Its not needed.

You don’t want to keep unique quest rewards and have copies of legendary guns? Seriously, what do you even like about looter shooters/rpgs then lol

I’m going to counter with it’s needed more than ever here.

Unlike the prior games where (and let’s be honest here) your loadout and skillset was based pretty much on one of 3 mods per character (Borderlands) or based on 1 very specific actionskill and key skills like bore, moneyshot, etc (Borderlands 2). B3 has at minimum 3 action skillsets per character with Zane giving up grenades having six variable, then flack having 3 pets to blend in, the interchangeability if the iron bear, not to mention the modifiers that greatly change the action skills.

Just like Diablo you will need different gear for different builds.
