I am on True vault hunter mode and i just killed tyreen and i am back on sanctuary and tannis gave me the eridian artifact to place in the mayhem machine but i can not, instead all it does register that i have select that mayhem difficulty. how do i get past this.

Try going to multiplayer and moving their stone?
Found a fix (unable to do agian, so someone please check): Had a friend join me on a new character that could complete the quest somehow, had the keystone set to mayham 3 before he joined
Same deal just finished the boss fight on TVH on MH3 and cant completre the quest by moving the artifact around leaving me not able to farm final boss.
Same issue here, has anyone here found a solution?
Best I can think of is to join public Campaign lobbies and see if you can repeat the quest in another lobby and get completion for it.

Same issue for me. Had Mayhem activated throughout TVHM. Now I can’t place the artifact.
EDIT: FIXED - completely turned off Mayhem Mod - quit to desktop. Relaunched game and was able to place the artifact.
Found a fix set the mode to Mayhem Mode 3. Then quit to the Main Menu and load back into the game. Then set it to Mayhem Mode 1 and the quest will complete.

Stuck here none of the solutions above have worked. Even tried them, minus the grouping up, offline and still nothing.

restart game in tvhm
complete quest
Just tried it and still only have the option to activate Mayhem mode. Doing so does not complete the quest.
Just a hunch… But I seem to recall I had to click the button on the right after placing the stone down…
But from your screenshot it looks like you can’t even place the stone, can you?
Got this bug a few times between myself and my brother’s game in the past couple of days, both with the Moze character and the Amara character, while finishing TVHM (We’re focusing on clearing that with all the characters until they patch back in functionality for the Guardian ranks).
After fiddling a few times to try and unhitch this, we noticed this process worked for each of us.
- Remove the artifact from the Mayhem device.
- Exit the game completely and restart the game from the Epic launcher.
- Activate the Mayhem device, and turn the device all the way up to Mayhem 4.
- Remove the artifact from the device.
- Replace the artifact into the device.
If this works, the device should come back on at Mayhem 1, and the quest should progress (the checkbox should get ticked, and Tannis will resume her scripted dialogue over your ECHO).
Hopefully that helps some folks.
Tried earlier and could not get it to reset. Walked up this time. Clicked mayhem down to 1, removed artifact. put it back and it completed. no idea. Same thing earlier didn’t complete it.
I am also experiencing this issue. I have tried all the methods listed so far. Plus I tried restarting my PS4 . No dice.
