Zane's duct tape mod doesnt work with Infinity pistol

Recently snagged the Infinity out of the golden chest and jump straight to test to see if it works with duct tape mod (whole reason why i wanted it for Zane)

And sadly after a few tests doesn’t seem like the skill works with Infinity. Tried holding down the trigger for a solid minute, and even tried tap firing but no grenade ever shot out. Then swapped to my other guns and they all managed to shoot out a grenade every once in awhile.

I also tested a few days ago with that unique COV pistol that had infinite ammo as well but that also did not work with duct tape. Seems like the skill only procs with weapons you’d normally have to reload.

I’ve noticed this too. Was so disappointed but maybe it’s for the best cause the two working together might be very powerful depending on the grenade mod. Best choice now is for a weapon that only shoots once before reloading.

If it does not work with the infinity then I wonder why they nerfed it with a cool-down timer?

The requirements to activate seem steep:
1st shot only
8% chance
8 second cool-down

Any feedback on how often it triggers? I have not tried it as I wanted to keep my grenades for the clone buff skill.

It procs a decent bit if you max out the skill. There are also some class items that can bump up duct tape mod ever more. (Class item that gives +2 already bumps up to 28%)

But definitely something you shouldn’t rely on, just think as an extra bonus. (Though sometimes it could screw you depending what kind of grenade you got on, be careful when point blanking something)

Infinity never needs a reload so it never really has a first shot just a continual shot. I bet the skill is somehow tied to reloading.

Interesting. Last night I got a shield that says it converts shock damage to shield and I am using a shock grenade. The shield makes me take no damage from the grenade and charges my shield . Its pretty cool. Will test it more tonight.

Does the duct tape mod drop a free like the drone or use one from inventory?

Its a free grenade.
There were many times i would just pepper an area with all my nades first, and then the skill will still proc even if I’m at 0 grenades left

There is a gun, that automatically reloads every other of your guns. Anyone tried using it with Infinity? (if it works, faster weapon swap speed might get a little bit more useful)

5/5 gives you a 20% chance, use it with a gun like one pump chump, which is a Jakobs shotgun with one shot, and you will see yourself spewing them out quite often.

so stupid Infinity doesn’t proc DuctTapeMod skill Either duct tape should just get from grenade ammo and up the Grenade Regen skill or… Just let Infinity proc!!! its below 50% chance proc anyway!!!

I have a +4 mod on the skill with up to 36% chance. Probably wouldn’t get any higher than that so I don’t imagine its gonna be a frickin problem. They need to give this to zane seeing how OP all the other characters are and they dont realize it. Buffs not Nerfs.
