I recently started my first Zer0, and after beating Normal mode, my friend powerleveled me through TVHM in about 30 minutes (He played as a level 72 Axton with me as host, so it went pretty darn quick). Anyway, he dropped me off in playthrough 2.5, with my law and my level 42 Love Thumper. I’ve since leveled myself up from 42 to 48 by killing level 50 enemies with just these two pieces of gear. I know that going into UVHM was a culture shock for my Maya, but she wasn’t this strong in TVHM, she really balanced out only once I was level 72. I want to know if my Zer0 will be as ridiculously overpowered at the beginning of UVHM (with a fresh Love Thumper, Law & Order) as he is now, whipping through these +5 level enemies? If so, when does playing Zer0 get hard?
He’s a complicated character to learn to play with.
The bonus is that once you do, he absolutely wrecks things. I wouldn’t say he is overpowered for UVHM… I would say he evens the playing field. Everybody has mentioned that UVHM doesn’t scale properly in a lot of things and enemies are bullet sponges, too hard, you can’t play without slag, etc… Zero will still handle his business.
Now, that doesn’t mean it’s a cake-walk. There will be things that frustrate the hell out of you and enemies that will take you an hour to kill… UVHM is tough, no matter who you are. I just feel like he makes it a fair fight.
At the beginning of UVHM
No.
But he can quickly get back on his feet & destroy UVHM
For zero you don’t want to stay in lvl 72, you need op8 to give enemies a fair chance just only.
Anyway zero is fun to play, less monotonous. Don’t worry about how he would turn out because he is in and out all the time. Bl2 best creation, BEST.
Wow. So… it got hard in UVHM. Here’s something I never, ever, ever thought I’d say: Wilhelm is kicking my ass. It’s his knockback. It was handy with Maya, because I just kept shooting him after getting knocked out of his main attack range. As melee Zer0… I’m level 51, running a level 50 law & order, and using Marcus’ slag pistol from “Rock, Paper, Genocide: Slag Weapons” I can’t seem to hit him hard enough to make him notice. Actually, sometimes I execute in and the health gain is miniscule, like he’s blocking the melee strike. Other times, I execute in for a good shot and get a face full of spinning arm, which he starts as I execute. So annoying! Well, now I’m less worried about not having any challenges in UVHM.
P.S. How do I kill him?
You need melee slag rubi, kitten, grog nozzle, hail or rapier plus roid shield for melee boss fight. slag him and let hin melee you to strip your shield to activate roid bonus and hopeful counter strike skill, use deception, go behind him, hit him at the last 0.5 seconds possible for higher melee damage.
Make sure you spec in counter strike, killing blow, backstab, ambush and deathmark or kunei plus any other melee bonus skill possible.
I realized I was going at it the wrong way. Took me all of twenty seconds to kill him once I thought to switch to a level 50 Bee and shock plasma caster…
Talking of which, I just completed “Where Angels…” with my level 61 Zer0.
Following some earlier problems with Piston’s Blimp, I’d taken @Carlton_Slayer’s advice and respecced to get B0re. I also had deliberately waited until level 61 to do the whole Thousand Cuts/Bunker/Control Core run because I knew I had a corrosive Butcher and a homing Pandemic waiting in my bank vault. I also made good use of @Adabiviak’s suggestion to use a slag dart before deception then sniping.
Bunker? N0 challenge… W0w. Just, w0w.
TVHM can make nearly any character seem vastly overpowered. Luckily, UHVM offers more of a challenge.
