I’ve been testing a few things out on Moze, and one of those things is the Tier 2 Demolition Woman skill Means of Destruction which is supposed to have a 10% to add ammo to the currently equipped gun’s magazine with a 6% chance to add a grenade upon dealing splash damage. Splash damage includes any explosion you hit the enemy with, that included Iron Bear weapons even on auto bear mode, any explosive guns, thrown Tediore weapons, Moze’s Short Fuze perk, and even Sheild Novas, all these sources don’t even need to be hit with the splash part of the splash damage and can be hit directly. The noticeable exception to the list is grenades, which either despite doing splash damage cannot activate it, or I got INCREDIBLY unlucky testing this. As I tested for a good long while, I believe it doesn’t trigger the perk, and I’m wondering if this is just an oversight or if this is intentional, but either way Moze isn’t the most powerful character by far, and I think it would be pretty nice to see this either fixed or changed, and at the very least add a note in the description saying it doesn’t work with grenades.
I’ve definitely seen my grenades go up while using grenades. Don’t know if the chance is reduced or it rarely happens because each grenade counts as one splash damage? But I’ve gotten 3-4 grenades out of my 14 atlas grenades with homing bouncing mirv and money. Moze is insane with a good build and heavy reliance on torgue weapons. I have a generic level 14 class mod I’m using at max rank because it gives +3 to means of destruction and it lets me chain torgue sticky darts near infinitely depending on the luck which can end with some insane boss kills. This is also where means of destruction is at its best because for me 20% ammo back means that my torgue shotguns’ sticky darts that count as splash damage give me a huge chance to roll more Ammo into the mag and keep it going. Each dart that hits and then blows up on reload gives me a 12% chance of getting a grenade. Making this moze build of mine currently an insanely high money farming build.
