DUMB silly pet question but whatever

I know this is dumb but is this true?
I saw on a destructoid:
“…Yes, FL4K’s minions aren’t temporary, they actually stay out the entire time, allowing any of the three options to spice up a solo session with an additional perpetual target.”
Is that true?
Do they stay out until they die?
Do they leave after a fight?

Great now I gotta try FL4K out I mean Whippet is literally in my name, The idea of a regen out there is nice too ( unless the Spiderant gets killed)

Just be ready for the pet to act like a whippet without a leash too tho. The moment is sets its eyes on an enemy, it’s friggin’ gone.

Yup, pets stay out constantly. They aren’t on cooldown and are always present (unless they die, they come back like 15-30 seconds later). They will teleport to your location if you are too far away. Your action skill will be replaced by something else.

This. I love that my pets are aggressive, but damn, there won’t even be a red blip on my screen and no gunfire but my skag will take off and be fighting a group of mobs long before I even realize they are there.

They are alive and have a health bar and you can res them. My jabber can res me if I’m down.

Pretty convenient for solo players

Tganks! Yes I have been using FL4K , I think I in general they are the closest match to Gaige, even though they will never be as strong as deathbot, they are handy! I also like how you can swap out pets.
I thought I would have to respec every time, which would suck

I used fade away tree. But you can pick different augments for your pet. I’m loving the jabber pet.

I have radiation on mine which is thru the blue skill tree

I noticed that too !
I am minding my own business and they go off starting trouble.
which is good or bad sometimes, especially silly around skags, since it seems when there is one, there is usually a whole family

I was using the spiderant because it was giving me regen, but I have a few points in the repair skill so I am trying other pets i will check out jabber.one

I am not sure but I think The skag can find red chests and bark (or whatever) when they find one , not sure the others do.

I use jabber for the res. I started with skag but did a respec.

I play solo so the res helps me alot and that little jabber can take a beating.

I do wish it was smart enough to jump, specifically at a particular boss fight.

But he like to lay down the lead so it helps. He has wiped a few adds while I was in a menu.

I have the Jabber fully upgraded. And he has saved me more times than I can count. And he has Killed his fair share of baddies.
