Does the Local Only turn into a Lan icon when you connect to another ps4 with a cable or is the only way to get 3 people playing to have playstation plus? Has anyone tried or is everyone already just splitscreen/online only?
I would also like to know this. Me and a buddy are going to try tomorrow. I Will let you know if we get it to work

Yeah me and the wife are bummed too. Have you tried split screen yet… if you dont have to id try to avoid it. We played the others through lan but not even an option for this. Pretty messed up.
So far it does not appear so. The only way we have found is for both players to have PS Plus and invite the other to the online game. I can’t imagine this not being something that is corrected in the future. You can do a 14 day trial of PS plus if you want to try it out.
We are three got all our systems set up and ready to do this and now to find out they don’t support this anymore. This is a bummer. We’re doing the 14 day trial. Thank you.

If you put your account on your wife’s console and set your account on your wife’s console as the primary console, it will allow you to share games via the file share program ps plus members get. Plus this means only one of you need to own PS plus. Have fun causing mayhem! You will also need to download the game on your account on your wife’s console.

Only arse was when the kids logged into my profile as I’m nailing some boss…
