Rotating Map Problem

I have never seen a map (like the big version) that rotates and is never in the same orientation when I open it until now. I hate rotating minimaps so I can always keep my orientation in relation with the map but now even if I cut the spinning minimap off the big map rotates and makes it way harder to figure out wtf I’m doing than if I just let them rotate together but its really messing with me so please… if I cut on player rotates in options please stop the big map from spinning or give an option for that. Its driving me nuts.

I think there might be an option for that…check accessibility settings

I still only see the rotating player or rotating minimap options in gameplay, don’t see any big map options in accessibility

Amen! This is driving me absolutely insane. Trying to orient myself with the map, and it’s constantly spinning around. Allow us the option to disable large map rotation relative to the player.

Also, allow other options for map scroll speed, and disabling of resetting of map zoom when closing the map. Interacting with the map is a terrible experience in my opinion.

Noticed the same problem…the big map which opens via “M” rotates where the player looks, which makes no sense…
Even the minimap rotating option isnt helping here…

I agree. Both my husband and I are finding this disorienting. Please fix this.

+1 Please fix.

It would be nice if it remembered the last orientation set (I think someone else suggested that already) or at least always started in the same fixed orientation.

Happy to see it is not just me. I was started to think that: Man, am I really THIS bad at navigating:)

It was confusing the first time it happened, because I didn’t realise the map had actually rotated. I’ve taken to dropping a custom waypoint ahead of me, then re-checking the map just before I hit it.

Same here, I can’t stand the rotating main map, please add an option to lock it like minimap.

And also I find irritating when my cursor jumps to nearest fast travel all of a sudden…

Didn’t realize custom waypoints were a thing so that will help. I just been zooming way out and trying to find a path that way.

for the love of GOD lock down the MAP not the minimap, there is an option for that good on ya for that. im saying the MAP MAP the (M) Map my god that thing needs to not ROTATE EVERY DANG TIME I MOVE, hit M to make sure i didnt pass my mark have to take a second to notice the map rotated for what ever god awful reason then figure out if i passed my mark.

i think of the MAP like the passenger sitting shotgun in your car on a road trip, would they rotate the map every time you made a turn? NO? hmmmm please give me the option to lock it down. hey maybe its just me but i think it was a bad idea

Totally agree, the UI in general is really disappointing to me. Playing on a PS4 Pro, the menu and map are so laggy and slow. Quest tracking is still terrible. Such a let down.

I’m not a fan of the map either, seems to be a real chore to navigate it, add to that sometimes the icon for where you’re meant to be going disappears so I to exit and go back into the map.

I know change can be unwelcome and things take a while to get used to, but I’m really not liking the new map, or the inventory system/backpack. Finding which weapons to discard/sell is a nuisance and I can barely read the text on them to know if they’re worth keeping. By trying to revamp the UI, they’ve made it worse in my opinion. I was perfectly happy with how it was in BL2 and TPS. Clean, efficient and easy to navigate.
