Am I the only one disappointed at optimization/performance?

2080Ti, 1440 res…benchmark ran at average 74.25 FPS on Ultra settings. I run more demanding games with ray tracing on at higher frames…this makes no sense at all for a game with this style of art…
Not trying to hate at all, just trying to make sens of the poor performance.

I think it has poor optimization. I’m on a 1080 TI & i7-8700k. Getting < 55 fps at 3440x1440 on Ultra.

I would be happy with a stable 60fps but if I had to guess they just didn’t spend any time optimizing…project managers hate it when programmers want to refactor something.

I’m downloading the latest Nvidia driver now to see if that helps…I have a g sync monitor and I’m not sure it was working correctly if at all

I already had the newest nvidia driver for BL3…made zero difference…

You’re not the only one, ultra high end rig and it runs like trash and beta DX12. Very disappointed. Meanwhile Gears 5 runs flawlessly on highest settings in 4K. Let’s hope they sort out the optimization soon.

***Update: Turn off Volumetric Fog!

Playing on PS4 on 720p. Performance in general is bad, especially when splitscreening and one player switches weapons in menu.
Which is a pity because the game itself is a master piece.

Guys if you’re using Nvidia cards make sure you get the latest driver. It just release today. I went from 50-55fps to 100fps once I installed it. 1080 TI, i7-8700k, 3440x1440

EDIT: THIS DOESN’T MAKE A DIFFERENCE! For some reason after installing the drivers Borderlands automatically set my graphic settings to low. Made me think it had fixed it…but all it did was show me that no matter how much you spend on a machine you aren’t going to get 60fps.

Could be better for sure. Playing on standard Xbox and there are alot of aliasing artifacts (more than the XB1 port of Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel), I don’t think they even have 2x anti-aliasing enabled, and there is a good bit of slowdown in the menus, especially when switching between skill trees. I hear splitscreen in particular tanks performance on both standard XB1 and standard PS4.

I Will check the nvidia site, thanks mate.

…I have the latest nvidia driver that released a couple days ago and specifically listed BL3. Has made no difference at all.

I think the performance problem once again here is “Denuvo” Especially if you run a pc under load from other tasks or games.

Game Stop, thankfully let me cancel my pre-order, was a really hard thing to do, though I really want to buy this game like right now because of seeing this thread, i’ll be playing the game for free shortly at my friends house, and i’ll buy myself a copy when they fix the performance issues.

It’s truly pathetic such a great game first went Epic Store exclusive, then has performance impact like this );.

I was wrong. Installing the driver made all my graphics settings get set to low for some reason…and that is why it was running better. Ultra is < 55 FPS which is absolutely pathetic considering I have a 1080 TI , i7-8700k, and 32GB of DDR4 ram.

Yea, there’s no good reason/excuse for these frame rates…it’s atrocious.

Lol my rich boi machine is worth 5 PS4’s yet I get similar performance. gg bank account

I know the feels. Have over 2K in my tower alone. And this game doesn’t utilize the horsepower worth a damn.

No, you are not the only one. I get around 90 fps on a 9900k and 2080ti uwqhd resolution medium-high-ultra settings. Sometimes it even drops to ~60 for a second. That’s not right for a game like that. With good optimization and “comic” graphics like that I should hit constant 100fps with no problem, maybe even more. Hope they will fix this soon.

somehow in fights even on very low my fps goes to 60 lol

When guys with high end hardware are complaining, I can’t imagine playing on a budget system is even remotely enjoyable.
