Hey people,
Just a quick one really… I missed out on the pre sequel last time round and am currently playing it on the handsome collection, I’m a 150+ hours player on BL1 and 2 so I know how rare legendary drops are but I’m just wondering if Iwajara still drops the thingy? I’ve killed him 60 times today and he still hasn’t dropped it but I’ve had around 30 hails?
Any information please?
Yes, I’ve gotten the Thingy recently from Iwa & 60 times without seeing it seems … strange (are you exaggerating?!) Consensus seems to be it’s not a very good launcher & times I’ve gotten it it goes straight to the grinder. If you’re looking for it for orange level grinder fodder then you’d probably get an orange faster by grinding all those purples he also drops.
Genuinely and that doesn’t include the times where it was a slower kill when I leveled from 25-29 on him, it’s driving me insane and all I’m trying to do is get it for grinder fodder as well, thought it was an easy way to get some as I’d read people who said they had around 6-7 spare!!
I’m obviously new to the grinder situation and several times now I have had a full backpack full of purples and grinded them, reset to title, grinded reset to title rinse repeat over and over and only once I got a legendary pistol.
Is there an easier way of getting results?

Drop rate for the Thingy was much better at one point, then they nerfed the drop rate.
Fastest way might be going to the trade section! Some very generous people on here (what platform are you on?)
PS4, people are happy to give items away? Wow, after being an active user on the FIFA forums for years where it just seems to be full of negativity that would be a new experience for me! 
Yeah, it’s co-op multiplayer so people are cooperative! Don’t know how active the PS4 trade section is, though? But, if you kept some of those Hails, they’d be good for trading, (especially shock ones, especially for Athena). Some of those purples are the most sought-after in the game, too (example – purple Anarchist pistols, Ravager shotguns, purple class mods).
Again thanks for the reply, I’m only level 32 at the moment just finished the first play through so I think ill crack on with TVM for a bit and then see what happens. Highly unlikely at this point anybody will be interested in my level 28-32 gear 
Just got 2 legendarys from the vending machines so that will give me a nice level 32 leg for now.
Just out of interest CDR, you seem to be experienced, what have you found to be your top 3 legendarys in the pre sequel?
I’ve been using the fatale, the viral marketer and the badaboom since level 22-32 however the viral is especially weak now as its level 22

Yeah, those Fatales are nice! Favorites depend on character and, as I mentioned, I’ll look for certain purples (even blues-- such as the Fridgia) more rigorously than oranges (Anarchist pistols please!). But, in the end, I’m really quite a scrub – just go to the Top Gear threads under each character and you’ll get tons of suggestions. Example –
I’ve used Iwa to level chars, and from 47 to 50 it is 20 kills per level. I’ve done that several times and not got a legendary drop for the whole 60 kills.
I’d say about 1 legendary per 120 kills of Iwa … maybe.
I really gave up caring about the legendaries from Iwa … there are better places … I’m more there for moonstones.
Only seen it once out of about 50 kills.
You’d be better off farming Drongo Bones for The Fatale. In my experience he’s more generous and he’s very close to a fast travel. You have to complete the Nurse Nina mission first, though.
Wave 3 or 4 of the Badass round at the Holodome will spawn two Flameknuckles with a good chance to drop a Nukem. I think they are much more consistent than Iwajira is with the Thingy.
