seems im too bad at driving borderlands 2 vehicles to complete this mission even with looking at tutorials
someone plz help me get this done so I can get the achievement for beating all side missions in campaign of carnage
is this the race where you have to leap from the freeway?
yeah
do you still have the relic that extends the afterburner time? that helps a bunch in the last phase of the race. Speed on the straightaways and be careful on the leaps. also the first car (not the bandit vehicle) is a tad faster. good luck!
I don’t even remember getting that relic tbh so no I don’t have it, i could try this dang thing a million times and still fail it i hate the vehicles in borderlands and i dislike raceing/raceing games in general
you get it from Ellie after collecting the statues from bandit cars
oh ok i sold it ages ago then
maybe post in the trade section see if someone can help you out
maybe but as bad as i am at driving these stupid vehicles it wont do me any good , i hate the vehicles so much i mostly just walk/run everywhere
Are you on PSN on PS3? Send me an FR pookie151 and I can show you an alternate route otherwise its pretty challenging just taking the roads all the way. And I might even have a spare relic depending on your level.
xbox 360 and its done now but thanks anyways guys
Glad you finished it, but here are 3 ways to make this race easier:
a) the vehicle relic
b) online or couch coop friends
c) split screen. you can shave off a bunch of time from the clock by leaving someone in a vehicle near the finish line. or using that as a backup in case you screw up in one of the cars.
Much like Forza/GT etc. Once you’ve learned the track, which line to take on jumps etc, takes about 10 laps or so. You will easily beat it again and again. I never used the vehicle relic and beat it so many times farming tokens on 360. Only every now and then would I screw up.
The barrel technical is the fastest vehicle in the game. Not sure how much the extra speed will help, but if you aren’t already using that vehicle switching to it may give you an edge
that mission has be completed but ty
You’re going to need the relic from Ellie. I’ve seen people say you can do it without, but you’re much better off with it.
Be very careful when making turns. The outrunner is VERY prone to spinout for no reason at all. And unless you recover in 2-3 seconds you’ve already lost. No sharp turns, plan in advance. Same with your boost, plan carefully.
Go to the left of the bar, up the ridge. It leads to a ramp and a little shortcut on the highway. It’s not much, but every bit helps.
There used to be a strange tactic you could use. Get a vehicle, park it on one of the checkpoints. Get out and leave it there. Go get the second vehicle and start the race. Race normally for all of 10 seconds until you reach the Catch a Ride. Teleport to your first vehicle and save 5-10 seconds.
I might have to try that I have the relic but hot damn im terrible at driving. and it seems I hit every lil itty piece of road that stops my vehicle or makes me spin out… Annoying as Fu----! >_<
Are you sticking to the road or doing the short route mentioned above? If you are doing the latter, I suggest running the route w/o accepting the challenge so you have an idea of where to go. Also too you have to know when to turn on the afterburners and when to turn them off. I often did that for better control on landings after jumping off ramps and overpasses. Here’s a video of one w/o the relic using the short route and barely making it w/ a sec to go.
And yeah there are parts where it causes your vehicle to spinout and causes valuable time so you have to be able to recover when that happens.
thanx ill give it a shot.
