Grim Harvest adds Action Skill Damage bonus of 5% per point. Does anyone know if this converts to extra Crit damage or gun damage while in Fade Away, or would it be wasted?
I plan on focusing on Hunter (Jakobs Gunslinger baby!!!) and want to use Fade Away with GITM and Unblinking Eye to really lay down that ass whippin.
Can anyone tell me how these synergise, if at all?
Gonna go out on a limb and say no. Action skill damage refers to the damage an AS does, like the explosion on Gammaburst or Rakk Attack. Action skill damage is one of the only modifiers that effects action skills.
Fade Away just increases critical hit damage, which is connected to the other crit bonuses on your character. It is not action skill damage, so it wouldn’t be buffed.
This is what I’m thinking. I was hoping someone who’s had early access to the game could confirm.
I really do like how Rakk attack has been looking, and may switch back n forth between that and Fade Away, based on situation, but I don’t want to waste points on skills that I won’t get much of a return on.
I’ve been rolling primarily with Jakobs guns, and sometimes Vladof and Dahl with my Fl4k. I use FA with Masher for crowds and whatever my hardest hitting highest crit gun available for bosses. Now that I’m Lvl 50, I’m on a hunt for a Maggie for crowd control and an Unforgiven for bosses, anointed and etc.
My wife got one, but didn’t use it much. How do the projectiles work exactly? Is it like a Masher, but unlisted pellets, or does it create extra projectiles in another way?
I’m 95% certain Grim Harvest does not synergize with Fade Away. Firstly, there’s nothing (unless I missed it) in Fade Away or the correlating skills that suggest Fade Away increases gun damage. It’s just crit chance and crit damage. Second, the capstone in Stalker, The Power Inside is intentionally tied to Fade Away as a 25% - 50% overall damage buff which applies to crit/gun damage.
Also, if you’re digging into Fade Away I’d probably recommend looking up NickTew on YouTube. He basically specializes in what I refer to as “broken builds.” I say that comically because I’m not really implying they need to be fixed, but they’re obnoxiously overpowered. His Stalker builds essentially trivialize all end game content, and they’re really not difficult to master or create (even if you don’t have the majority of his gear).
Don’t forget you can respec at any time for a pretty trivial amount of cash (sell a gun or three) so if you make mistakes, you can always try again.
Yeah this would be great to know. I am finding there are questions like this about many skills but no for sure answers from the devs. This is definitely something you would want to know.
