they need to look more gritty, to better match the aesthetic of Borderlands. This reminds me if Borderlands was turned into a Saturday morning cartoon for children.

These definitely look like digital art. He is probably using a digital pen/display with a program like Photoshop or Illustrator.

I use a Wacom sketch tablet, and I use Photoshop.

I have a wacom tablet too, but it’s the less expensive ones that are just the tablet without a screen to look at, so I find it awkward to draw with. I really want a Windows Surface Studio, but they are like $3500…

I tried to get a used Wacom Cintiq for Christmas last year, but the price was still ridiculous.
