Does Zane’s “Seein’ Red” skill (from his Hitman skill tree) make it so that activating an Action Skill turns on all his kill skills for the entire duration of the Action Skill, or do his kill skills still only last for a few seconds upon activating an Action Skill?
Seeing as the text for the skill (from https://bl3skills.com/operative/) reads “Activating an action skill automatically activates all of Zane’s kill skills” as opposed to “Zane’s kill skills are active while his action skill(s) are active”, I doubt the kill skills will last longer than their default, or the buffed time with Death Follows Close. Although we won’t know for certain until the game comes out, I believe it is extremely likely that with Seein’ Red, the game treats popping an action skill identically to earning a kill.
I’m pretty sure that it’ll work like with Timothy’s kill skills in The Pre-Sequel: They just run for their normal duration.
Follow up question:
Will “Seein’ Red” activate the kill skills that do not have skill points allocated to them?
For example, if i do not have any points in “Violent Speed,” will the “Seein’ Red” ability activate the perks of “Violent Speed?”
I believe this is highly unlikely for 2 reasons. First, we have no history of this happening (with Timothy “the Doppleganger” from TPS and that capstone where killing clones was the same as killing enemies) and second, the way skill points work in Borderlands seems to disallow this. I.e., at 0 points, a skill has 0 * buffs applied, at one skill point 1 * buffs, etc., etc. So at 0 skill points in a skill, even if “Seein’ Red” could proc it, you would get no benefit from it.
Unless u have death follows close the. It will run longer 3 seconds without doing math from top of my head so that is about 10 secs( not tested)
