Badass. Thanks to Shawn Burdick for sharing
It’s all so beautiful, such beautiful mayhem. I’m at a loss for words, I haven’t seen this much artistic creativity from Gearbox since Battleborn. Thank you Shawn Burdick for sharing these fantastic images. And I thank you Nat for posting them. I love everything on display, especially the figurines, the life-sized portrayals of the characters, the painting with the three baby psychos and the psycho shooting himself from behind, the female psycho below him, the painting with all the characters popping out of the psychos head, the painting with the monument to the twins, the vaseline glass portrait of the twins, and the four figures in black and white staring up at the monument of a psycho that seems to be in disrepair. Those are my favorites, and I also love the image of the young Angel. Don’t know if it’s a hint, or if it’s someone else that may look like Angel, but the idea that she may be coming back in some way is just…BOOSH.
I don’t know what else to say. It’s a wonderful time to be a Borderlands fan, and I just…COME ON SEPTEMBER.

I live in the equivalent of the “artist hub” of my city. Like, I literally live above an art gallery and this is all so beautiful. Still cheesed that it isn’t in my neighborhood, but that’s some really great stuff. I’m particularly fond of those statues and sculptures.

The psycho shooting himself three times is hilarious. Don’t know how he’s doing that, I’d be in agony if my own foot was angled in such a position. Definitely looks like what could have been the cover art for the game. Not that the religious psycho with the roses is any less in comparison, but that one I mentioned certainly would have been subject to laughs and giggles if they went with it. Still, it’s pretty badass with the main vault hunters on each side, and the twins being presented right above them. It paints both a badass and hilarious image for me…I love it.

the lady and the one with the foot is consistent with previous covers so i like it for that reason, but i want simplicity so my favorite is the psycho in Silhouette with the white background.

The lady certainly is an eye catcher, not just for what you say, but also for its certain “appeal” to me. Won’t lie, its attractive to me. As for the psycho with the silhouette, not to sound like some sappy conosur, but I think it represents more then the simplicity you’re suggesting. The psycho is blowing its brains out, but you see within it’s mind the entire universe of the Borderlands. As if within the head of this psycho, existed an entire universe of mayhem, beauty, and unlimited possibility. Makes you wonder if this is a mindset all psychos share. I can certainly see the appeal of their madness if they get to live within their own individual universes. Each as chaotic and beautiful,…madness certainly would catch if others could be brought to see it’s wonders.

Love these pieces. Definitely my top four.
These psychos are living the dream…not sure I’d be crazy enough to lay with live grenades though.
I see an angel, one who I hope will grace us once again 3.
The figurines and level designs look amazing. Amara would certainly be my choice if I had to choose one of them. The second runner up would be Zane. Sorry Zane, but this lovely lady has you beat with the figurines. Thanks for all these awesome posts Nat.

Simple yes, but still badass none the less. Especially love how the psycho makes a reference to 3 with his fingers. He points them upwards in a gun notion, as if firing into his own head. Definitely more cover art, another piece put aside in favor of the psycho pilgrim and his roses. Though I can see why, the characters seem to have gone through a rework in design. Especially Zane, he looks like an old greaser in cargo pants and a leather jacket. Art piece is definitely awesome, but I’m still glad they went with what we currently got.
