Gaige can't use the Infinity gun because of the talent of "Smaller, Lighter, Faster"

I was lucky to get a legendary gun called “Infinity”, but I just can’t use it because I play with the skill “Smaller, Lighter, Faster”. The photo actually see the whole problem, I simply do not have rounds in the magazine.

P.s. in the photo, the European version of the game with the Russian language installed on top.

Welcome to the forums.
There is a way around your problem. If you have the Tiny Tina DLC you can look for a Necromancer COM. Any of those with “Neutral” in the prefix boost magazine capacity by up to 54 %. Enough to use the Infinity with Gaige.

Now your next challenge is to find one. Our good friend @Ninja_Mrrr searched for one for days (weeks?) for just this purpose. She finally got one.

Of course you could also farm an Infinity with the mag size accessory (just kidding).

This isn’t the only weapon to be impacted this way. Single barrel Jakobs shotguns can get hosed this way as well. Nothing like getting a one shot Longrider that can’t ride out of town.

Even though it wouldn’t help, the redundancy factor of an “Unending Infinity” is just too awesome to overlook. :smirk:

Jokes aside, that com is your only hope. I believe, but am not certain, that it must be a True Neutral com because only one instance of Neutral in the title doesn’t have a high enough boost.

And a Bandit grip.

I respectfully disagree on that.

Smaller Lighter Faster costs 4 % mag size. A Chaotic Neutral or Lawful Neutral Necromancer COM grants a much higher bonus. I’ll try and post a pic later, one of my Mechros should have one in her backpack.

One of my ‘prized’ possessions. Found in the carboard box right by the fast travel in Sanctuary even. Too nifty to just toss in the trash.

Made better by being non-elemental with a Maliwan grip.

I thought that Neutral was the mag size boost, and that the highest possible boost would be needed to bump it high enough so that SLF didn’t reduce it to zero. Like I said, I’m not certain, and I’d like to be wrong, but I thought it was something over my head in the realm of maths.

Edit: just looked at the Bouncing Bullet Barrage build by @Ninja_Mrrr, and it says only one instance is necessary. Apologies for my misdirection/misunderstanding.

It’s one for the Item Fail thread that’s for sure. (All it needs is a Tediore sight…)

The only Infinity worth not throwing off a mountain.

Yep, mag size is reduced by 4 % through SLF and boosted by something like this:

One Neutral prefix is sufficient.

I believe Vladof Pistols are incompatible with Bandit grips for whatever reason.

Gaige is definitely one of the most gimmicky characters in the game. Anarchy is not required for her if your just leveling up however it definitely makes for an interesting experience. Keep In mind you can always Swap your skill points at a fast travel. This will let you try a new build out or if you don’t fancy a skill you can try something different. If you want to use your infinity for now you can go and swap your skills for the time being. Then when the infinity falls off you can swap back if you like.
Keep in mind swapping Skill points dose cost some money. Not a crazy amount but you should keep it in mind.

Oh really? Well, that just goes to show how little I know about that rubbish gun.

Lol only person I use the Infinity on is Zero with a Low level legendary Sniper COM max one shot one kill with a Bee. Absolutely decimates almost anything while mobbing.

Ya I guess they decided because the Bandit grip would intersect with the Valdof pistol magazine not to have the grip spawn on Valdof Pistols. It’s funny because there are several times the Accuracy or double shot accessory clips with other grips.

For me that’s just another reason to avoid the whole “Anarchy” tree. I get that for some folks it’s awesome, but I just find it annoying as heck.

Question of taste, all things considered. The magazine size is reduced by 4% and always rounded down. That is a lot, if one wants to use the Infinity, true. For most assault rifles, SMGs and pistols the difference is barely noticeable. It’s more pronounced when one uses Jakobs shotguns, because most of those have small magazines. But on the upside, Anarchy stacks rack up pretty quickly and I, for one, like the playstyle.

But there’s nothing to say against a build using a strong Deathtrap and lots of shock damage while staying out of the Ordered Chaos tree. Main thing is to have fun and if Ordered Chaos spoils that, then better leave it be.

Gaige over all seems to have been a huge experiment that they just didn’t have enough time to get in to the nitty gritty of polish and balance.
You can say the same about alot of thing in Borderlands and Borderlands 2. i
It is extreamly evident with both Krieg and Gaige as they have tons of skills that behave in very particular or questionable ways.
This is likely part of the reason GBX is choosing to focus on he main four Vault Hunters in BL3 for the time being.

Long story short Gaige’s Anarchy tree is generally seen as a tree for experienced players.

I don’t understand these words. They appear to be in a language I speak.

A no-Anarchy Gaige is like a no-PL Maya or a Dahlvador. Without Anarchy, her only redeeming trait is her screaming.
