The Electric Chair

Not sure if this would fit in another thread but I’ve been farming Uranus for an Electric Chair with max base damage, 700 blast radius, max shock damage and 0.0 fuse. I’ve found one with max base and shock with a 0.0 fuse but only 580 blast radius.

Should’ve included I’m talking level 80.
Max Base is: 1205957
Max Shock is: 476035

Just for comparison.

Are we sure it’s possible to get ALL those things? Like. Does a part that makes is have a larger radius then decrease another attribute? Because I know guns are like that

Well, I got a Longbow Storm Front that has those so I hoped it’d be the same but since I’ve had no luck I wasn’t sure.

I think Longbow as a delivery method is more likely to have a 0.0 fuse than a lobbed grenade, but that’s just an assumption. It’s hard to know some of these things

That is max. Its radius is indeed smaller than the Storm Front.

And lobbed is the only delivery, but fuse time can vary. Lobbed has no impact on fuse time vs any other delivery.

By and large, the E-Chair is slightly superior to the SF except it can’t be longbow.

I can’t screenshot because I’m on Xbox but I’ve had at least one drop at 700.

XB1 certainly can screen-shot: tap the XBox button and then Y; your screen shot will get uploaded to a site called gamerdvr.com where you can search for your GT and find it. Then you can either link or copy/paste the image to here.

I’m still not completely sold on how reliable the EC is over the SF.
I always use the latter simply because I like a grenade that can put out damage long after I throw it, and the child grenades on the EC seem to fly farther away from the initial grenade than the SF. That first blast is definitely more effective, but it doesn’t fit the utility of the SF as much as I’d like

Max damage but everything else about it is terrible.

I tried it for sustained Grog heals while tanking with Deputy Sal, and it did an admirable job. I think in an open area where your target can move more freely it might not perform as well as a Storm Front, but in a smaller area, like the room where Uranus waits for its pounding, it’s perfectly acceptable. Also, it doesn’t require you farming the rats, which is a pretty big bonus for me.

I got my Storm Front from Uranus. I find that his most common drop is grenade mods.

I agree about the grenades being common from it, but it’s a deep and diluted loot pool, so pounding Uranus for a Storm Front would likely be less consistent than the TMNT rats. It’s like saying “I want a Harold, let’s go smashing bullymong piles” instead of hunting Lee. It could work, but it wouldn’t be great odds to wager your time on.

Yeah this was my conclusion. In a small area, such as bloodshot stronghold or southpaw, the EC is a lot more deadly but once you get into a wide open area it loses moxxi-cheesing efficiency rapidly. Not worth an extra inventory space just for that, since maps tend to be more open for the most part.

Good to know. My digging yielded the 580 max - clearly I was deceived

I’m thinking the grenade I’m looking for might not actually exist though. I’ve killed Uranus probably at least 500 times and he hasn’t dropped it.

I wonder personally, though I’ve not tried it yet, about Saturn. Big open area, but slow as all heck. The lobbed delivery could be a problem for long distance deployments, but it moves slow enough that it might not get out of the radius fast enough to render it useless. It’s been a while since I didn’t just upend a vat of molten cheese on Saturn, but I definitely have just ROMed it in the past so I suspect that might be the open space exception. I’m also kind of lazy these days, so I may not be testing this myself anytime soon.

Fighting Saturn bummed me out so I’m probably not gonna be fighting him again anytime soon but it’s a solid idea.

to get the maximum benefit of the EC (although you might only need it on bosses and tough enemies), you need to throw it on the feet of the enemy so that the explosion will kill them, otherwise it is just a stormfront.

For maya maybe phaselock converge then throw it below the bubble.
For zero lure the enemy in the decoy and throw it in.
For axton, the turret will act as a distraction and you can throw it in.

Haven’t found reliable one for krieg, sal and gaige since enemy moves a lot and did not get the full damage of the EC.

With Gaige Deathtrap makes a good distraction. So, tested it on Saturn threw all ten an he wasn’t fast enough to escape any of them but they did a very minimal amount of damage to him.

I don’t like throwing grenades seriously, so, as a Gaige, my big thing is throwing the EC before I start a fight just to add some extra Cha0s to the scene.

But I also plan on using a switch between an EC and a Quasar to handle the Assassin Pack when I get that far. Just because I wanna try to do something obscenely ridiculous
