About FL4K's skill tree

Does anyone have an idea when we might see a reveal for his skill tree? I wanna know more about his critters.

Not sure when weā€™ll see their skill trees or when weā€™ll see Mozeā€™s. Many of us are speculating though that their trees will revolve around mid-long range combat. FL4K seems to like Jakobs rifles in screenshots and have something resembling a stealth skill. Hopefully, weā€™ll see them within the next month.

I have a feeling with Fl4k heā€™ll have a action skill to turn invisible like Zer0 from the gameplay trailer. Or it would be included in one of his beast trees.

I suppose it could be possible that down in one of their trees they might have an augment that can enable stealth in the right circumstances. Something similar to Kriegā€™s badass mode except automatic? Speculating what they are going to be likeā€¦ FL4K just have me super interested in how their trees are gonna work.

Same here, Fl4k and Zane seem to be the most interesting characters in the new borderlands game.

I think that Fl4k will have the option to use 2 Action Skills, just like Zane. The only thing weā€™ve seen from Fl4k so far is that their Action Skills are 3 different pets, a Skag, a Jabber and a Spiderant. The Jabber can hold a gun while the others use their regular attacks

The newest trailer added 2 new pieces of info:

  1. Fl4k can use some sort of invisibility skill, which will (my guess) probably be an augment for their Action Skill.
  2. Just before the Skag appeared in the trailer, a Nova errupted which had heart and cross-signs all over the place. My guess is that Fl4k is the support class Vault Hunter of the 4 and the Nova weā€™ve seen was for AoE healing. A bit like Claptraps heart-nova. Probably an Action Skill Augment as well.

All things considered, we barely have any info on Fl4ks Skillset, just speculations and some infos for probably just 2 of their Skills. So not much, really.

I donā€™t expect Fl4k to have two distinct types of action skills, that doesnā€™t sound like it would mesh well with the 3 tree structure. Thereā€™s just no way thereā€™d be a balance of choice in that as there will either be too many choices to make off the start or the second action skill would have to be so under represented initially it would probably just be made an augment during development any ways.
Iā€™d expect their set up will have 2 augment types instead;
Personal augments that affect Fl4k which can be used regardless of what pet theyā€™ve chosen. Possibly but not necessarily related to the theme of each tree.
Pet augments that are specific to each pet, or tree if there are multiple pets in a tree, similar to all of Zaneā€™s augments.

I dunno, my 2 cents is that it would be a bit underwhelming to have a ā€œBeastmasterā€ with only one beast at a time.

But isnā€™t that exactly what Zane has?

I think youā€™ve misunderstood me. Iā€™ve seen some suggestions that the pet and the invisibility represent two separate types of action skills all together. Iā€™m not talking about whether heā€™ll have one or two beasts active at a time, which would be the same as Zane, but having a pet action skill and a personal action skill.

Although Iā€™m still going to say 1 beast at a time. Theyā€™re interchangeable without needing to respec already, a beastmaster would probably want to invest more in to a single pet, and itā€™s more fitting to exchange a grenade for a second gadget than to exchange it for an animal.

i think the spiderant skill tree would be based around crowd control, not sure about the scag or the Jabber i hope we find out soon because FL4K is the most interesting character in my opinion i cant wait to see gameplay or skill treeā€™s

he might get an augment that turns his pet into a stalker that gives him invisibility as well

Itā€™s possible, but Iā€™m guessing theyā€™re sticking with the tree pets weā€™ve seen for our non-binary bot buddy. I could be wrong, but I donā€™t recall seeing their pet around when they turned invisible in the trailer. Iā€™m expecting more details soon (though if they only show one hunter at E3 itā€™ll probably be Moze given the VIP cosmetics)

Anyone think we might see FL4Kā€™s skill tree at guardian con?
Might hold off till a diffrent con though so, just a thought.

Aww that sucks a little. I was kinda of hoping to see at least a little peek at Guardian con. :disappointed_relieved:

found it

to be fair he says August but itā€™s probably safe to assume that he means Gamescom specifically (thatā€™s over two months away from now hot damn)

First of all I donā€™t think any hero will get specific weapon skill trees. (e.g: a tree for that caters to sniping or use of smgs) As observing the revealed 3 character trees it seems the Dev are trying their best not to shoe horn any hero into a specific weapon type.

My guess about FL4k skill tree would be that each tree will be according to the 3 types of pets that Fl4k has.

and each pet tree will make the pet stronger and enhance the playstyle in character to the pet for both Fl4k and the pet. e.g: spiderant is more defensive while the dog like thing is more support.(just a guess)

I hope that the pets are not time based but are permanently out all the time till its health is depleted. and come back once you revive it just like a player.

as we have seen with Zane he can order the drone (which is his pet technically) to attack different target on demand. I expect Fl4k to do the same but have more control. e.g: press ability button aiming at enemy = attack the said highlighted enemy. Keep the ability button pressed and the pet becomes passive and comes back to you.

but now the most confusing thing is that we have seen Fl4k use invisibility. i donā€™t know if that is an active ability or a passive. doesnā€™t make sense for it to be passive skill as i can see few uses of invisibility if it happens randomly or when you donā€™t need it.

It might be that the 3 skills are totally different things like invisibility or heal pet etc while pets are always there but this raises the question how do we then command the pet with the ability button when its being used for an active skill like invisibility and heal. and we donā€™t have buttons left on a controller for pet commands and ability. unless it takes place of something else or different type of hold and timing of one button has different effects. e.g: tapping a button / holding a button.

the pet command is definitely going to be there as that is the bread and butter for any pet class. and we have already seen Zane do that and Zane he is not a beast master so the Beast Master will definitely have more pet control than the Operative.

So keeping all of that in Perspective my guess is we will have skills slot that are either:
1: Skill (invisibility) / Pet / Pet passive
or
2: Pet (type of pet) / Command (make your pet charge or heal or throw a projectile on demand) / passive effect on you that is triggered when you command or specific criteria is achieved (invisibility)

Thanks

Thereā€™s an unofficial skill tree planner that has Mozeā€™s skill tree available. Unfortunately, it appears FL4K is the odd entity out for the time beingā€¦ probably to be unveiled later, hopefully prior to release.

Lol, yeaaaā€¦ I know. I posted that before they released info about her skill trees. Iā€™ve been discussing builds with people here:
