This is my build for Gaige at level 72 OP8 and I murder everything. The only gear you need is a fibber with the high damage barrel, a Leg Anarchist COM, and a x4 Magic Missile. Other than that use whatever you want and know that I only use Deathtrap as a decoy.

What shield do ya use?
I currently use the Antagonist for extra slag but you could also use a roid shield if you want DT to be more than just a decoy.
I think at OP8 DT don´t do that much damage. I tried it in so much ways with so many different weapon choices but in my opinion DT is just an eye catcher and waste of skill points.
I prefer spending my points in LBT and using some good electric weapons.
Some thoughts about your build…
…why do you spend your points in fancy mathematics AND blood soaked shields? If you can kill your opponents fast enough, you always have a full shield thanks to blood soaked shileds and fancy mathematics are pure waste. 1 point is ok if you change your class mods from time to time but not 5. Spend this points to Myelin for a bigger shield and a higher resistance. With a shock resistance artifact and a big shield you can tank so much damage in a team.
…movement speed is nice but unstoppable force… same as blood soaked shields and fancy mathematics. If you want to tank the damage for your team it´s a good way to stay alive. But in a solo game i would spend the points in an other way.
…You want to kill with your DT? Why no strength of five gorillas? It´s an epic way to make your DT more potent.

In a team you can tank much damage with a good shield (the sham for example) and don´t lose your own playstyle.
Or you try this build if you want to play solo:

There you just need an shock Fibber and get a nice kill speed. You´re maybe a bit squishier but your damage output will be higher.
In both ways just look for an Legendary Anarchist COM at the beginning of each session to get your stacks fast and change then to a Legendary Mechromancer, Roboteer or Catalyst COM to raise your damage output at 150-200 stacks. Which COM you use is up to you and your playstyle.
And if you want to play with DT on your side… Flame of the Firehawk or Hide of Terramorphous are two of the best shields for this style of playing. Endless Novas or Roid damage, Novas and Spike shield…what do you want more?
