So I was going through the assassinate the assassins quest (playing gaige) and I used a fire gun to kill the first assassin and it played the zer0 voiceline “… eating through my armour” can anybody explain this or had it happen to them before

If you spend some time farming for the assassin skins like I did, you’ll hear it a lot 
I think it’s meant to be part of the whole “I’m in disguise” thing.

There’s a longstanding theory that Zer0 is related to the assassins in some way. Besides the obvious fact that Zer0 is also an assassin, all of their names come from numbers:
Zer0 = Zero
Oney = One
Wot = Two
Reeth = Three
Rouf = Four
And then there’s that odd occurrence of Wot sometimes speaking in Zer0’s voice, which could be just a bug in the game… But maybe it’s actually a clue hinting at a shared background. The theory has never been officially confirmed or denied. All I know is that it adds to the mystery around Zer0 and it’s a lot of fun to think about.

*things I found out ridiculously late.
Funny that Supmatto just did a video on who the six assassins were in the Victims of Vault Hunters Sparkey Flint Mission on Wam Bam Island, and Zer0’s mystery benefactor is of course 0ne. And then comes this gem. So, maybe the death of the Assassins isn’t canon?
