2 Tough Questions for the Krieg Players

  1. Using non unique gear only, and banned hiding behind the gate, how do you deal with Badassasaurus with Krieg?

  2. Using non unique gear only, and banned using the action skill, how do you deal with Jackenstein with Krieg?

The only thing that comes to my mind right now for Badassasaurus would be some sort of launcher, combined with an absorb shield and a low level Torgue barreled Vladof AR to refill ammo, though I’m not sure if Badassasaurus resists splash damage.

As for Jackenstein, I would choose something with a high crit modifier, probably a Muckamuck or a Diaub. Maybe a Droog if you need more Fire Rate.

How about the cheese spot on Jackenstein? lol

JK, start with a splitter or maybe a droog to break the capacitor (don’t mind the health bar it is glitch out in this fight, doesn’t register any damage until you break the capacitor but technically you do). go into Release the Beast whenever it is available and chuck the buzz axe.

For T–rex, an explosive krieg build with a flesh crunch and a torgue pistol might work and just circle around the map.

Pre-OP levels, for Badassasaurus, Tediore Reloads tend to work well (using Flesh Crunch) - use all the ammo types at your disposal. Just make sure to equip a fast fire rate weapon to deal with his nukes, the rest of the attacks are quite avoidable. At OP-levels the same strat should work, but the fight is a ton more tedious and the risk of running out of ammo pretty high.

Yeah Jackenstein is pretty unfair for krieg, with the best solution tending to be as un-Krieglike as possible. Agree the Droog is probably your best bet here.

From a Krieg recreationalist…

A: Sans cover, you are definitely going to need Release the Beast for Health Regen. There’s nothing to Bloodspode off of. All your damage is going to have to be weapon based, and not melee. Using no uniques against a fire resistant enemy Explosive Krieg is always my go to.

Gear wise, Purple Ravager, Purple Torgue ARs with high fire rates, Purple Double Penetrating Torgue Pistal, Plasma Casters & Purple Tediore SMGs. Purple Bandit Launchers are as close as you get to a Badaboom, Vladof has the free shot bonus, and Tediore has the quick reload , so go with those. Grenade wise, Purple sticky longbow whatever it is you like, though I would steer clear of Mirvs and Rubberized.
Since he has bullet reflection an absorb shield would be good. Having elemental resistance would be better for his fire and explosive DOTs.

Crunch COMs and Explosive relics are a go to, but also damage boosts for your particular weapon types or cool down rate buffs.

I would say the same for Jackenstein as the above. I did really well against him with wide spread guns, especially the Hydra that I got to drop from Rogue just before, so with that in mind I would say maybe go for a Shock Etech AR, a DAHL in particular for the horizontal burst to try and target both Shield Generators. The damage will register to both but only one will blow up when you get a good chunk of his health down. I would also recommended the Torgue Torpedo AR if the hit detection wasn’t bugged and some shots didn’t fly right through their target.

Once you get the generators down, it’s just a matter of catching Jackenstein when he does his energy attack. Having a shock resistant shield is essential to survive that up close so you can crit his chest with something powerful.

I can’t speak to BA-REX, but I did torture myself with Jackenstein after starting the DLC for a Rough Rider. After emptying all of my ammo pools from the cheese spot to little or no effect, I spent the entire fight on the floor with him going toe to toe. I basically just popped BXR whenever I was low enough on health for RtB and chucked buzz axes at him. Far from ideal, and the exact opposite of quick, it took 45 minutes of RtB cycling to drop the lumbering behemoth this way. But it worked. Eventually. Flesh Crunch com boosting Taste of Blood as the second skill and AOE nades (homing teslas worked best for me) to build bloodlust stacks were the only gear I used that made any difference. I was wearing the above mentioned Rough Rider, but I suspect an Adaptive shield would work just as well for the health bonus. I took a knee once or twice, but there were enough loaders around for me to get up each time.

BA Rex has 4 barrels in each “corner”. Taking them out means that you eliminate the heavy attacks. Don’t know which barrel controls which attack, but that shouldn’t be a problem to figure out.

Taking out one of these barrels with a grenade or an explosive weapon should also activate Blood Bath, and provided you have your stacks up and a matching COM, you will get a buttload of dps. I would try this with a tesla grenade and a Torgue Spitter.

Jackenstein, huh… iirc, shock works well on him, apart from explosive. Perhaps a Bandit SMG with shock element could be a good choice. Large mag to begin with, and with some stacks, it gets even larger. This also means that you can make use of Elemental Empathy to get some healing.

I haven’t tried any of these tactics myself, but under the given circumstances… That’s where I’d start. Best of luck to you!

Oohh, just had a brainfart. Do you know about Javilineer Krieg? Using Blood Filled Guns you can build bloodlust stacks and increase your launcher’s mag size, and then Tediore reload your way through a fight because Tediore reloads don’t burn the remaining rockets in the clip. The setup usually uses a Leg Psycho mod because it boosts Blood Filled Guns, but you could probably accomplish it without the extra skill points. Only other thing you would need is a stockpile type relic that boosts launcher ammo. As long as you can use Blood Filled Guns to increase the mag size while it’s in your hand you wouldn’t use any launcher ammo, so it’s pretty efficient. Might be worth a try on either fight. AOE nades to build stacks, reload, repeat, hopefully decimated enemies are the result.

Credit where it’s due: I learned how this works from @Enderborn1 and a video he shared in my Krieg on the Peak thread. Thank you, kind sir.

This is a good one. Adaptive shield, melee with RTB for heals, run around him, get the pipes for a Kill , spam them every opportunity, with torgue guns. Blood bath probably gotta be 10/5 with blister com, or flesh crunch or something like that. Health or explosive relic. Longbow mirv? Run in circles around him? Cant really think of a build, probably shouldn’t have much in hellborne… Can’t have DR, so. I really don’t know.

Toss a Storm Front for Blood stacks then once you reach 100 stacks start tossing Javelins aka Tediore Launcher reloads.

Boom.
