This will be hard to believe, but me and my cousin were playing some bl2 together, farming for loot Wee loaders and tubbies. As we got to the entrance of the area where typhoon stalkers spawn, a bunch of pestilent and rabid stalkers spawn. My cousin throws a stormfront and just finishes them off with an unkempt harold and a butcher is dropped. We were really confused, since i have never seen a pestillent stalker drop a pearlescent. There were only rabids, pestilents and typhoons.
First generation pearls are world drops - they’re not dedicated to one type of loot source ( like tubbies, SBAs or LLMs ). They can be found in piles of poo, lockers, chests, random enemies, etc.
On the Peak, OMG will drop them on OP8 runs.

You can also find them in red loot chests. Congratulations on the Butcher - which element did you get?
As others have said, first gen pearls are in the world loot pool, which means you could get them from any source, so long as you are playing in UVHM.
It’s super rare, I’ve only ever gotten one world drop pearl, and that was only after spending hours power leveling someone at Pete’s bar. Beyond that, I’ve gotten two from red loot chests, both from the chest you can access after beating bunker.
I’d go start farming vermi while your luck is up.
Dozens of world drop storms? Can I bring you to the casino so I could rub your head before a game?

I mean a 1 in 10,000 chance(assuming pearl world drops are the same as legendary) is pretty rare, but it’s bound to happen a relatively decent number of times giving how much some of us play
