I was following some advice about going to NVHM to the beatdown bar so I could farm tokens fast, rather than trying to do it in UVHM. My first two tiers were level 30, same as all the other quests (I’m level 48), but for some reason my third tier fight came up at level 50. I double checked, and my first playthrough save is the one loaded.
There are several missions that are available in NVHM but are level 50 : the Bar Brawl, Hoard of Horrors, Twelve o’clock High, Terramorphous and the other raids.
It’s just a thing
The tier 3 rematches in the Torgue DLC are all level 50 in NVHM. Gave me a nasty surprise my first time playing Torgue DLC in normal mode with a level 30 character!
Ah, okay…I see. So, I"m not sure if I shot myself in the foot here, but I finished the game just a hair into level 48, so I have two more full levels to go before 50. Every new mission is now level 50. Any idea what I should do? Grind out a couple of levels before starting NVHM? Or just dive right in, since everything will be level 50 anyway (though I can’t use all my level 50 legendary stuff that I twinked over)?
I guess I could always coop with some people just to grab more XP, then roll it right at 50 and go back to the bar brawl area to farm.
I’m using Axton, if that matters.
Great…thanks. I’ll look into those. Something else I may do is try running the Torgue races, so I can farm some XP and some tokens at the same time.
Will do. I think I remember doing it back on the 360 and it was pretty tight. Which is the better way to farm tokens, the brawls or the race?
I’d say bar-room brawl is the most popular. With practice, you can get that down fairly well. Plus, you get the chances for loot drops, which you don’t for Death Race. Death Race is probably the least risky of them all, though.
Yeah, I definitely went with the Bar Brawl. After one try on the tier 3 race I remembered just how perfect it has to be. That brawl is pretty easy on TVHM.
I really need to decide soon which character I want to use going forward through the 60s. I’ve been enjoying Axton, but Maya was always pretty near and dear to my playstyle. This late in the life of the game I"m not sure how many characters I would take into those OP levels.
