Who else prefers b1’s? Seriously it’s just so much better. Sure the one in 2 is flashy and cool and 3d and you can spin it around to see which skin makes maya’s ass look better…but whatever. Bl1 has much better functionality when you actually know what you’re looking at. Wanna compare reapeaters? No prob it goes strait there. Bl2 brings up the whole damn list. It list the guns in exact rarity order. There’s little tricks…like if u have a reapeater.( my nemesis is always at the top of coarse) you can equip it…compare it…and then boom there’s all your other repeaters…the only 2 gripes are if you select an empty spot it won’t compare to available gear…you gotta do it from the left side…and no favorite/ trash icons. That was the only improvement 2 really had. Thoughts?
I wish BL1 had the inspect weapon feature. For a game that has so many more variable weapon parts, it would have been nice to be able to see them better. I guess the only time I really really want it is for machine pistol actions.
That’s very true. Would be nice. There’s been times when guns have dropped and glitched floating in mid air. I always use that opportunity to inspect them from different angles. But once ur a complete nerd like me you can spot action5 from a mile away I guess 
You do know you can change the sort order in BL2 (just like in BL1), right? By type, by manufacturer, by rarity/value. And since you can’t have as many items in your inventory, it’s not as annoying. The other thing BL2 does better is being to compare stats of items while in a vending machine menu.
I actually find BL1’s inventory much more clunky and frustrating overall than BL2’s, but then I have substantially more time in BL2 than one so it’s pretty much second nature. I’m sure if I had more hours in 1 than 2 I’d feel differently, so on average I take it as a wash.
Yeah I know…just not the same. Especially since it’s really hard to run with just 4 guns…I run with 2 guns in bl most the time. And just hit x to switch. Equipped I mean. I just don’t like it
The only part bl1 did better than bl2 was being able to replay echo logs.

I’ve had a lot of problems in BL2 with the inventory, a constant issue is I’ll check my backpack or bank, hold down to scroll, and it’ll just… freeze? Stick? Even if I repeatedly tap down to scroll through the UI it’ll commonly freeze and I’ll have to wait a good 10 seconds for it to unstick. Often enough it’ll overshoot once it does load and I’ll have scroll back up.
Thinking about it BL1’s menu has some strange navigation, in particular, strangeness can happen when equipping gear, but I much prefer it over BL2’s pack. Much more information on screen, and at least for me(and a few others, as I’ve heard) much faster.
This’d be the place to float this idea. In the future, I’d love to see a sort function for elements/non-elemental.
B1’s menu with item Inspect and fav/ trash icons would be perfect to me
