So I got this here sniper from cod…and I figured it looked pretty swell…only the bad mag…I tried it on mordy and noticed something strange…it never burned a single bandit nor skag…it simply will…not…proc…it shows the orange dmg numbers but never causes dot…I switched to lilith and put 9 points in spark…still nothing. I picked up a X1 corrosive vladof sniper and had the same problem…wtf. I shot 100 rounds into the ground with nary an ember…
I found this out a long time ago with a level 5 Incendiary Vladof Sniper. As a general rule, it means elemental sniper rifles need to be at least x2 in order to be worth using. Personally, I never use an elemental sniper rifle that is not at least x3. Anything lower than that and I will typically be better off with a non-elemental.
I guess it’s a bug. Idk. There’s so many in this game. It clearly says “chance to burn those ■■■■■■ bandits to a screaming charred crisp”. Or something like that.
